Emails show calculations behind Clinton trade deal waffling | Fox News

In one March 25, 2015, message shortly before Clinton entered the race, senior speechwriter Dan Schwerin sent senior staff, including Podesta and communications director Jennifer Palmieri, a draft letter on trade.

“This draft assumes that she's ultimately going to support both TPA and TPP. It focuses on what needs to happen to produce a positive result with TPP, and casts support for [Trade Promotion Authority] as one of those steps,” he wrote.

Bernie tried to warn us.

Everything about Hillary Clinton is a carefully calculated political stunt fueled by Democrat corruption.

Bernie did warn. Too bad people didn't listen. And now you're stuck with her.

We need a Labor Party, or a Green Labor Party.

Fact - no citation necessary.

there's always the 4th option. congress can veto the bill to appoint a president of the US. the Vatican has offered to send one of their leaders. the only way out for us

AFAIK Bernie is still a write-in option on the ballot.

I think if anyone really believed Hillary was against free trade they were being extremely naive. Republicans and Democrats have loved it for decades. The only thing to do now is cross your fingers and hope it is politically toxic enough that she has a hard time getting it passed.

We don't get the candidates that we need, we get the candidates that we deserve.

Or, you know, start nominating viable candidates. ;)

After what this election has become, there is little hope that a rational person would consider running for higher elected office....And I don't blame them.

"Waffling" is not a term that really applies here. Cabinet officials serve at the pleasure of the President and so they may be called to say and do things they don't personally agree with. Her public position as Secretary of State in 2012 was not necessarily her personal conviction.
