Gary Johnson: I Would Pardon Edward Snowden

Again, you're the guy cheering on Snowden for helping the little old lady out of the way of the truck on the road, cheering him as a hero, meanwhile you ignore the child porn on his lap top and the fact he was stomping kittens in an alley before hand. "BUT BUT He helped an OLD LADY!!!"

Sad, sickening even that someone would be so blindly partisan as to cheer a man who did terrible harm to this country, becuase "he exposed one program I don't like so that makes it okay!"

And here I thought that was just an analogy. Yet here you are claiming that he did those things. Mind providing proof of that?

If however this IS an analogy...again, mind providing proof of your claims? Something that can actually be trusted? And on the case of Edward Snowden...the Government cannot be trusted. Even the article which you linked to shows contradictions. Something which you have yet to debunk.

Your second link just describes what Narcissistic personality is and doesn't mention Snowden. Your first link also briefly describes it. Your first link also says that the reason Snowden did what he did doesn't have to be due to narcissism and gives other valid reasons. And then plainly and unequivocally admits that no one actually knows.

So sorry, your example doesn't provide the proof. Try again.

No, he should be in jail. If he was acting as a wistleblower, he wouldn't have stolen classified information that had nothing to do with that and damaging to the U.S. in the process. He is a traitor and I wouldn't care if he was thrown in a hole to rot.

Sure, and there was a reason that information was classified. It was to prevent the American people from knowing that their Constitutional rights are being violated, because of an unconstitutional presidential fiat. I will never forgive Obama for allowing that to happen. And damaging the US in the process? Yes, the US needed to be damaged by the truth so we don't end up losing what Democracy we happen to have left.

I don't give a damn what anybody says. Snowden is a hero in my book.

The Proof is out there, go read the bi-partisan report on Snowden. If You decide to play the "I don't trust the GOVERNMENT" card, and what the BI PARTISAN UNANIMOUS report says... I got a song for you.

A hero for harming our National Security? He did FAR FAR more than jsut reveal the one program you're so hero worshiping him for. Dan, you probably need to dig in a little on all Snowdens actions before cheering on that one program he exposed, he did a lot of bad things along the way. I guess ASS ****ING America is something you are all about... Cause snowden did FAR FAR more than just reveal domestic spying.

Danarhea, American Traitor.

Another reason not to vote for this guy either. What a disaster of an election.
A moron (Johnson)
A Snake Oil Salesman (Trump)
A Clinton (Hillary)

All three are FAILS

You forgot about the Chemtrail Queen Jill Stein.

Hyperbole much?

The substance of the discussion is classified.
I like to think myself to be a reasonable person. I have a couple problems with this answer.

1. If the substance was compromised it should at least in part be able to be declassified to allow the public to judge for themselves how damaging his actions were

2. The gov tells us there is certain stuff that must remain secret to us for our own good. I dont disagree with that but that requires trust by the public and Snowden exposed them violating public trust with the metadata collection. If they were not doing that to begin with I would not have this condrum of if I should trust them when they tell me its for my own good.

A certain amount of distrust of our gov is healthy and keeps them honest. They muddied those waters and now are asking us to trust them??? I dont know what Snowdens motives were for doing what he did. Im not going to call him a villian or a hero but in either case given the circumstances I still think he should of been given a pardon.

I will say though offering him one now is kind of like trying to close the barn door after the horse got out, kind of thing.

We will be living with the damage Snowden caused for years if not decades.

Speak for yourself!!

I'm not he one cheering on a man that gave Terrorist the means to avoid surveillance (that had nothing to do with the NSA Domestic Spying) That gave China and Russian Security Teams highly detailed information on how the NSA operated, MILITARY SIGNET MEANS AND METHODS.

You might find having our military at the mercy of potential adversaries a worth while price to pay for the NSA exposure, I do not.

Hyperbole much?
No, if you cannot grasp the damage Snowden cause becuase you're too busy jerking off over the NSA Domestic Spying information leak...

The people always come first.

Stop being such a vulgar pig.

Stop being such a vulgar pig.

It seems to be a common trend among nationalists to get vulgar/crass when "traitors" and liberals are the subject.

So no real answer to my statements/questions. Gotcha.

PS BTW: I do find it hilarious that on this board I have been called both an authoritarian and anti-government.

That's nothing. I've been called a liberal, a conservative, and an anarchist on here. Plus, someone thought I was a communist for differentiating between socialism and communism on another forum.

So the military, the country, our national security mean nothing to you.

Got it.

It's not "nationalist" it's called REALIST. I understand the DAMAGE Snowden did BEYOND your one concern. Again, it's like a man saves a little old lady in the road from getting hit by a truck, so you cheer him, and ignore the fact he killed kittens and raped children

Bi-partisan doesn't mean crap in this case. Snowden hurt every politician that controls the government. It's only natural that those that he hurt the most would find common ground to attack him. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that.

And I'll note that you STILL haven't debunked anything that I said regarding the article that you linked to. All that you've done is attack me. Not once addressing it.

Know what I found interesting in that article? They say that Snowden...or that the report about Snowden says...That Snowden was able to steal from other peoples computers (which means getting past passwords and security measures) to get millions of documents. And yet it also says that Snowden was a a Poor Performer and Disgruntled Employee." who:

Seems awfully contradictory to me. Poor performer and yet able to not only steal millions of classified documents but was able to do so across many different work station computers...hmmm.....

Oh and your article also shows that your claim that he "Didn't make a single effort to LEGALLY blow the whistle" is wrong as your article admits that he did in fact try to...but apparently "didn't follow proper protocol" you know...because of his poor performance.

And one more question: Why should we trust a government report about someone who gave the government a black eye? Is there no possibility of the government making **** up in order to try and cover their hide as much as possible and to try and prevent future whistleblowers via this threat?

What is contradictory? He didn't like his job or his employer so he failed to do his job.

That in no way reflects on his abilities.

Where exactly has Snowden benefited from his actions? He's not rich, he can never see his family again, he has not received any monetary gain or power.

Why do you think he can never see his family again?

They can go to Russia any time they want to see him.

Also how do you know what monetary gain he has receive from China and Russia for this information?

How do you think he is living over there?

Life is not free.

"poor performer" is talking exactly about a persons abilities. Simply not liking ones job does not = poor performance. A person could hate their job with a passion but still do the job to the best of their abilities. There's been plenty of jobs that I've had and hated yet I ALWAYS did the best that I could so that I could get a good reference from that employer for when I found my next job. Also a boss usually watches someone that is performing bad a lot closer than those that perform a good job. Usually to either fire them or get them to do better in some form or another. So sorry, still not adding up.

Why do you think he can never see his family again?

They can go to Russia any time they want to see him.

And have them counted as traitors also? Doubt anyone with a conscience would do that to their own family.

Also how do you know what monetary gain he has receive from China and Russia for this information?

Life is not free.

How do asylum seekers that come to the US live here?

Best of their abilities is a choice, one which he did not make.

Why is it difficult for you to see he was anti-government and had no intention of doing a good job for them.

I don't know what you are talking about. They can go see him whenever they want.

What do asylum seekers in the US have to do with Snowden?

Do you think the US and Russia are the same?
