Gary Johnson: I Would Pardon Edward Snowden

He compromised countless US capabilities and assets. The damage was profound. He made your life more dangerous and our country as a whole less safe.
How do we know this, bevause they said so, or are they producing evidence of this?

It is true. You can believe it or not.
Im just asking the question

Are they asking people to accept them on blind faith or are they providing evidence to support their claims?

You can read the evidence they produced, there is a non-classified report out, and it's damning.

Another reason not to vote for this guy either. What a disaster of an election.
A moron (Johnson)
A Snake Oil Salesman (Trump)
A Clinton (Hillary)

All three are FAILS

I can see that you favor Hillary. Great!

YES

You can also read the House Committee report on this, it's bi-partisan supported.

Know what I found interesting in that article? They say that Snowden...or that the report about Snowden says...That Snowden was able to steal from other peoples computers (which means getting past passwords and security measures) to get millions of documents. And yet it also says that Snowden was a a Poor Performer and Disgruntled Employee." who:

was repeatedly counseled by managers regarding his behavior at work and had been reprimanded for failing to follow the proper protocol for raising grievances through the chain of command.

Seems awfully contradictory to me. Poor performer and yet able to not only steal millions of classified documents but was able to do so across many different work station computers...hmmm.....

Oh and your article also shows that your claim that he "Didn't make a single effort to LEGALLY blow the whistle" is wrong as your article admits that he did in fact try to...but apparently "didn't follow proper protocol" you know...because of his poor performance.

And one more question: Why should we trust a government report about someone who gave the government a black eye? Is there no possibility of the government making **** up in order to try and cover their hide as much as possible and to try and prevent future whistleblowers via this threat?

Of course it does. You're an anti government type. Like I said, you're cheering Snowden for the old lady, who cares about the kids and kittens?

So no real answer to my statements/questions. Gotcha.

PS BTW: I do find it hilarious that on this board I have been called both an authoritarian and anti-government.

:lamo at all the nationalists still incredibly butthurt over Snowden. History will see him as a hero and the NSA as a villain. It is already shaping that way.

No, it really isn't. History will, on the other hand, make note of the fact that Snowden fled to Putin's Russia, a tolitarian regime, and the inherent hypocrisy present in his stances.

I know "nationalism" is uncool in some circles, but hurting your country for your own personal benefit and then fleeing to avoid the consequences is pretty much the opposite of heroic.

And that matters why?

Seriously?

Have you looked at the political landscape recently?

Very little is bi-partisan these days. When something is, it really tells one something.

I find it pathetic you want to excuse a traitors crimes because one thing, one small thing he did made you happy.

 It DOES make me happy when people expose and provide proof that the government that is supposed to protect peoples Rights is instead violating them. If that's a bad thing then I'm guilty as charged and proud of it.

Where exactly has Snowden benefited from his actions? He's not rich, he can never see his family again, he has not received any monetary gain or power.

He's become a hero to millions of conspiracy theorists and paranoids of both far ends of the political spectrum.

Again, you have nothing. You're just doubling down on your claim instead of admitting that he hasn't received any benefits.

Obviously, you don't have a very solid understanding of human psychology. For some people, hero worship and adulatation are all the reward they need.

Plus he's got a sweet setup in Putinist Russia.

Repeating the same thing over and over does nothing for your cause.

But hey, I'll give you a chance. Prove that Snowden only did this for adulation. Good luck on that considering that the very fact that he fled the US shows that he knew damn well that he was going to be harshly criticized and called a traitor for what he did.

The substance of the discussion is classified.

Again, you're the guy cheering on Snowden for helping the little old lady out of the way of the truck on the road, cheering him as a hero, meanwhile you ignore the child porn on his lap top and the fact he was stomping kittens in an alley before hand. "BUT BUT He helped an OLD LADY!!!"

Sad, sickening even that someone would be so blindly partisan as to cheer a man who did terrible harm to this country, becuase "he exposed one program I don't like so that makes it okay!"
