Because it was basically an unsuccessful attack. As far as I can tell, nobody died--- and there were only about two dozen wounded. When you look at other attacks--- like, say, Paris--- this was bush league.

Yes, mistakes San be made, but the chances of an homegrown amateur making them are far higher than that of an veteran terrorist.

For some unknown reason the guy put the bomb in a dumpster. Judging by the damage it did to the dumpster had he left it in the I'm guessing it would have been worse.

Intelligent people w/an agenda never let a terrorist attack go to waste; attacks like these allow someone or some group to impersonate an organization and claim responsibility for the attack in that organization's name in order to disparage it.

Anti-trump individuals could, for instance, pretend to be a White Supremacist group online and claim responsibility for the attack, justifying it as an attempt to root out the "Muslim and Black filth in the streets of our cities."
