Not really.
There are literally billions of Muslims around the world.
Terrorist Muslims might make up a thousandth of a percent of that population, but it's likely even less than that.

The scrutiny that the Syrian refugees underwent to be allowed refugee status in the USA makes it very unlikely that any terrorists entered the country that way:

No, it's far more likely that any terrorists inspired by IS were inspired in place or entered the country through easier means, like on an international airline flight.

Do you see what he said? My reply was to tell him that Muslims terrorists are real Muslims. He, as far as I am concerned, is trying to say that terrorism is not Islamic. I am not about to let that slide.

In short, I said nothing about the identity of the bomber(s) in New York. Try to keep things in context.

My guess is some lunatic who either a) has suddenly decided they support ISIL but have nothing directly to do with them; or b) was pissed at someone/something and this was their pathetic way of dealing with it.

I highly doubt this was directly done by ISIL or Al-Qaeda.
