Suffice it to say that at this point there hasn't been enough information released to make any conclusion if it was, or wasn't, an ISIS / ISIL / Militant Islamic Extremist (or someone else for that matter), nor if the New Jersey and Chelsea New York attacks were or were not coordinated.

Until there's credible information publicly released from a credible source we, the public, are not in a position to really know, and all this guessing and panicking is just making everything worse.

I was trying to make it a kinda/sorta joke, because ISIS is an acronym for "Islamic State of Iraq and Syria", and ISIL is an acronym for "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant"
The overarching organization is IS, or Islamic State, because on of their stated goals is to carve out an...Islamic State.

One of those organizations or sub-organizations may or may not have been behind the events in New Jersey and New York, we do not currently know.
The joke was that it would be "ISNJ", or "Islamic State of New Jersey", if it was actually IS that supported/suggested/encouraged/influenced/instructed/whatever these events.

There is of course that whole thing that some people have about not wanting to actually use the term "Islamic State", because it gives a kinda/sorta legitimacy to that organization, but....meh.

I digress.

How many murderers have you met? I've arrested 17 in my career and met dozens more. I don't recall any of them calling themselves Christians or me having any conversation with them, in that regard. ;)
