'Mom' Sought Men to Sexually Assault 10 year old Daughter

"The mother of a 10-year-old New Mexico girl who was found dead and dismembered told police she looked for men online and at work to sexually assault her daughter, according to search warrants in the case.

The documents showed Michelle Martens told police that she had set up encounters with at least three men before the girl was drugged, raped and killed last month.

The single mother told investigators she didn’t set up the sexual assaults for the money but did it because she enjoyed watching, according to the warrants. It’s unclear how long she had been arranging meetings before Victoria Martens’ death or if police have identified any of those men.

Police found the girl’s dismembered body inside the apartment she shared with her mother on the day she was expected to celebrate her 10th birthday. The slaying ignited outcry and vigils."

Yeah, that was a pretty big story here in New Mexico when it broke. It makes no sense... until you see drugs were involved and all the sudden you realize these were not humans.

She shouldn't even be allowed to sit in jail. She shouldn't get that luxury.

Of course she should, never having her have the luxury of freedom ever again is the biggest punishment a person can get. Being told when and where to poop, shower, eat, walk, talk, sit, stand, etc. etc. etc. is what prison is all about IMO. That is the most brutal punishment a person can get.

Also, especially in US jails, you cannot really say it is in any way or shape a luxury.

This horrid event breaks my heart in a million pieces for the victim. That little girl had to endure evil and sadly it was at the hands of the one person who should have protected her.

Usually when I hear **** like this I kinda have to breathe, center, and then look for the why. In this case...not my circus, not my monkey...and I think I can just be in a nice healthy state of hatred of the woman for a while. Something created this in here...but someone else can figure out what it was.

I can see an addict letting someone do something like this...but not seeking it. This is just a step beyond.
 
And not even for the money but because she liked to watch. I wonder what the son will have to say.

Oh.my.god. This thing (I refuse to call her anything resembling a human being) should get the death penalty and it should not be painless.

I speak from a much lesser but still unpleasant experience of having parents who are against you.
 
If you bought a home from someone and closed on it and opened the door with your new key and the reeking offensive odor that hit you came from a toilet filled with feces - what would you do?

How about flushing the toilet?

There are people in this world who re just five or six feet of stacked crap with the ability to walk. When we discover them, the first thing we should do is flush the toilet.

Persons like those int his horrific story deserve nothing less than the death penalty carried out ASAP after legal rights are met.

And that would be letting them off light. They probably deserve far far far worse.
 
Throw them all in a hole.

It always surprises me how just when you think you've heard a truly horrible story, another worse one will come along. I hope the brother has someone.

That's it for me too, Vance. When I first heard about Victoria's death a couple of weeks ago, I assumed her mother was so addicted to drugs that she didn't even know what kind of monster she found online. But as it turns out, she went online to find that monster for the express purpose of raping her daughter so she could watch. It's beyond horrific. Even a lot of addicts wouldn't think of doing such a thing. This isn't an addict. This is a monster.

Having heard the stories from FBI agents who investigate these things, you don't want to know. How any of those agents manage to remain sane is a mystery to me.

No, not really. There are worse things to have to endure. The fate of that poor little girl is testament to that.

I have a good friend who worked for the US Post Office as an investigator for his career. For several years he was investigating child porn rings. The stories he tells are terrible and he said the day he transferred out of that unit was the day he began to get his mental health back on track.
 
What amazes me is the myth of maternal love and the strength of the matriarchy. A woman who shot her husband in the head while he slept and told the first police officer to arrive that she had to shoot him because he didn't love her was claiming self-defense as a battered wife with absolutely no evidence beyond her statement. The District Attorney, in declining to prosecute, said, "She wouldn't lie about something like that."

An 18-month old baby was admitted to the hospital with a fractured skull. During the examination the doctors four that both legs and both arms had been broken and allowed to heal without being set. The baby's father went to jail but the baby's mother had no idea what happened, how it happed, or that her baby had suffered two broken arms and two broken legs. It was a total mystery to her. When her boyfriend got out of jail she was waiting for him. They moved to a large city and six weeks later the baby, now almost three, had a horrible accident and was scalded so bad she died. Don't some people just have a terrible run of bad luck.

Oh, and the 15-year old girl who was being screwed by her father and talked. Her mother and her sister turned on her for telling what was going on and she committed suicide.

Some people are terrible.

My father was a trainer at the FBI academy for his last 7 years wit the agency. His friend at the academy was the guy depicted as Jody Foster's mentor in Silence of the Lambs. When he was developing his profiling system he used to have to engross himself in the mental patterns of the serial killers. There was one particular case (the details I will spare you) where one of the trophies by a serial killer duo was audio tapes of the last hours of their victims. When they were finally caught the agent took the audio tapes and would play them over and over in his car during his commute to and from the academy.
