'Mom' Sought Men to Sexually Assault 10 year old Daughter

All human life has value, even that of the criminal. We like to be emotional about things at time, and allow emotions to dictate action. But in the end, logic and reason must prevail. The DP is necessarily going to be expensive because we have to make sure that who we kill is actually, for real, 100% the person who did the act. You cannot have state sponsored killings of innocent folk. Not that the DP is necessary anymore, it's not.

For this case, life in prison without parole is just as good, and cheaper than, the death penalty.

Can't help it, I have value for the little girl that was killed by these monsters. Those folks are not human, except in name only, and they deserve to die. It's not emotion, when we have a dog that has bitten numerous people it gets put down. These animals are just like dogs.

The girl had intrinsic value too and was an innocent. But human is a biological construct, you cannot strip it away because one performs acts you do not like. Human is human.

Life in prison without parole is all we need. Well we need a good amount of prison reform as well, but for the context of this discussion, we can limit it to Life w/o Parole.

No.

First, don't insult dogs.

Second, as heinous as their crimes, as evil as they may be, human beings are not animals; they're human beings.

Sorry just not going to agree with you there, the animals that did this are human in name only. Their actions are that of a rabid dog and they need to be put down like a rabid dog.

I can't help but wonder if she was attending school. There certainly would be red flags if she were. Kids with that level of abuse do not act "normal". If she wasn't attending school, there is such a thing a truancy, and truancy officers who should do some checking around. It's a state law that she be attending school or otherwise accounted for.

She seems to have fallen through the cracks of the system.

There are others who should pay a price along with the mother.

Will Graham: This started from an abused kid, a battered infant... There's something terrible about...

Jack Crawford: What are you, sympathizing with this guy?

Will Graham: Absolutely... My heart bleeds for him, as a child. Someone took a kid and manufactured a monster. At the same time, as an adult, he's irredeemable. He butchers whole families to pursue trivial fantasies... As an adult, someone should blow the sick **** out of his socks...

[pause]

Will Graham:
Do you think that's a contradiction, Jack? Does this kind of understanding make you uncomfortable?
I spent a few years working with sexual predators in prison. My motivation was not initially to help them...it was to do what I could to minimize the number of new victims after they were released. Eventually...you do learn some horrific **** about mans inhumanity to man and you learn not to judge the individual. Its easy to hate the monster knowing what the monster has done. Its a lot harder to see a 19 year old kid as a monster when you read the court documented incidents involving the kids past. You learn that damn near every one of us do what we do for a reason. And sometimes...yes...they are and will always be the monster and there is no place in society for them.

This one though...I'm not sure I really want to go there just now.

Even still life in prison is not necessarily worse than death. Humans adapt to their environment.

I don't support the death penalty, but there is no doubt that that is the pinnacle of punishment.

Except that I do not believe in the Death Penalty and IMO live in jail is the best punishment and if mistakes have been made they can be freed/released from jail, you cannot un-execute a person.

My favorite side effect of the death penalty is it often results in criminals agreeing to make a deal. Countless cases have been solved and bodies recovered by the fact that the criminal was staring at a threat of death.

i wonder if it's ever done the opposite (we'd never get stats on that though). Meaning someone was innocent, but they keep trying to ram the DP down their throats until the "confess" to a crime they didn't commit in order to avoid it.

We do know that false confessions are a real thing.

Yes, at the beginning we were all innocent babies. And we do know that abuse too often begats more abuse.

Surely, if there is a "sacred bond," it's between mother and child. I can't even process a mother pimping her children out, much less simply because she liked to watch. No words for this depravity.

See...I used to think that too. Then you learn love is a choice...even for mothers. They may have been raised with the expectation or belief system that teaches "this is what a mother do"...but there are far too many these days that were not raised in that environment and that see children as commodities, assets, weapons, burdens, and often, far worse.

I do not have a societal opposition to the death penalty as a practical solution for incorrigible violent felons. I have a personal opposition to the death penalty in that I think an execution keeps families of victims stuck in hatred. But thats just my way of seeing things.

That's true. And fathers too.

Honestly there is no response to this.

This women would not want to face my punishment if I was the judge.
not sure what anyone can actually say to this really.

something out of criminal minds. which makes me wonder if
shows like that don't actually pull real FBI files or cases that have
been released, and I was correct. It is based on real crime files.

If there's one thing I do agree with Muslims on, it's appropriately killing offenders in society such as these. Stoning, or any variation of punishment like it I am for.

Jesus, RIP little girl.

Watch the jail house interview with Chicago mass murderer Richard Speck and his prison squeeze where he brags that being in prison for him was like going to Disneyland every day. This is just part of it

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slm_YDzx4vI

Its things like that that helped tip me to the death penalty support side.

I was just going to post about him as one reason why the d/p is better than life in prison.

Nah, I wouldn't insult rabid dogs. This waste of DNA is exactly that - a waste of DNA. I'm not sure if she's in a death penalty state but I hope she is and I hope she gets it.

This is one of those threads that makes me wish to god that I wasn't a Moderator. Only reason I came in here is to make sure all rules are being followed. In order to do that I have to read....crap like this that pisses me off to no end.

The mother deserves the death penalty, and even that is too good for her.
