So an email has been released that was sent from Colin Powell to Hillary Clinton about private communications that seems to clear her.

I think that having her own server was a better choice than just a personal computer.

"I didn't have a Blackberry," Powell said in the email. "What I did was have a personal computer that was hooked up to a private phone line (sounds ancient). So I could communicate with a wide range of friends directly without it going through the State Department servers. I even used it to do business with some foreign leaders and some of the senior folks in the Department on their personal email accounts. I did the same thing on the road in hotels."

Well, sure it does. It iterates that it's no big deal. Nothing came of these alleged "top secret emails", so it's just another nail in the coffin of the haters.

I guess you could if you were foolish enough to ignore nearly ALL of the differences between the two situations.

  • Powell used a single private email account vs. Hillary built an entire server dedicated to this
  • Powell didn't send classified information via this private email account vs. Hillary who did send classified information via this private email server
  • Powell used approved secure government email for classified information, vs. Hillary exclusively used her email server for everything
  • Powell's purpose of private emails was private conversations with others, while Hillary's private server was to avoid any oversight and FOIA requests
  • Powell was not in violation of National Archives and Records Administration guidelines and practices, Hillary most certainly was

1. Just because one person commits a crime and tells another how they did it does not alleviate the listener from responsibility if they follow the practice.

2. How do you, or we, know that "Nothing came of these alleged "top secret emails""? Just because we have not heard of it doesn't mean it didn't happen.

When is knowingly and intentionally breaking the law no big deal?
He did it to is not an excuse. It is what a 5 year old argues when he attempts to get out

The fact is she broke the law.
She exposed classified data to the our enemies
Was completely reckless and negligent with classified data.

The only reason she got off is do to one of the most corrupted administrations ever.

The only found about 5 emails that Powell sent that were only classified at a later date.
Clinton had over 100 emails that were marked classified at the time they were sent and if you don't think one email matters.

We don't know any of that, as it's not come up as an issue. What bothers me about this however, is that Powell clearly stated that he had no recollection of saying anything to Clinton about personal vs state information...

Moreover, the fact that Hillary got an entire server to further separate her personal stuff from state business only shows how dedicated she was about NOT that separation.

So, I think it further illustrates that Clinton had no intention of sharing classified stuff outside the circle.

You are not keeping up with current events, lying to congress is a felony, destroying specific information after receiving a subpoena for it is also a felony.

a few issues

1. the email she sent was two days after she took office. there are NO DATES on his response email, or her thank you

2. As far as my knowledge goes, we dont have any knowledge as to when the server was setup. Could it have been setup before she took office? Is there any proof as to what day it was actually done?

3. And finally, i believe the president changed the law as to what was allowed to be used....which was .gov.....that law wasnt in existence when Colin Powell set his system up

Those are the issues i see....they may be valid or may be easily explained....i dont know right now

Sure she did, the FBI confirmed that, they just said that she had no intentions of committing the crimes, even though they apparently never asked her intentions/motivation.

There are currently people that have been dismissed from the military for doing the same thing she did.
Not only that they lost there security clearance.

I think we agree. Hillary most certainly wasn't keeping her government business separate from her personal business. Why else would she want to cull her personal emails out of the business emails?

Other than in one of the email chains uncovered, I believe there were the instructions to staff to remove the classified headers and send he content anyway. Something related to a secure fax if I recall.

They are looki into that now and she did lie unless you ignore all the evidence th FBI collected.
She has lied multiple times. From the number of servers she had to the fact that she says she didn't send any classified data.

We even know for a fact she had her aides send classified data over even a fax machine without waiting on encryption codes.
So you are very much wrong and in denial that she did not commit a crime.

Sure, I see your point; I would add the fact that the email does seem to verify exactly what Hillary has been saying all along is the issue that I see.
