Flights suspended at London airport due to 'Black Lives Matter' protest

Funny...there isnt a black person in the group. :lamo

I swear, these BLM protests are just getting even dumber as time goes on. And what a great way to convince people to join your movement by being a giant inconvinence to people.

But thankfully the BLM protesters were arrested.

I've only been following the blm thing tangentially, but if I had to guess from these stories, the main blm movement (if there is one) has no official core message that makes it easy for others to understand what they're fighting for.

It is entirely possible that there is institutional racism in the UK's justice system without unarmed blacks being gunned down. I have NO idea if that is true, though. Still, making people miss their flights isn't going to win hearts and minds.

Not really. BLM 's kind of all over the place, but that really comes hand-in-hand with a movement with no formal hierarchical structure or leadership.

Yep. Again, I really haven't been following this closely, but this really is coming across like there isn't any leadership at all. It's a shame because at the heart of it lies a legitimate gripe, and no core hierarchy means anybody who is terribly misled can claim to be blm and taint that legitimate gripe. Of course, the "black lives matter" slogan was a hallmark to bad marketing to begin with.

Try actually reading the OP link - it states the reasons given by BLM-UK for the protest.

Nothing BLM puts out is worth listening too, bunch of tools being used by puppet masters.

What money? You know nothing of their complaint or it's validity or otherwise.

Their reason for being there doesn't even make sense. Top 10 carbon emissions per capita are as follows:

Qatar
Kuwait
United Arab Emirates
Oman
Australia
Saudi Arabia
United States
Canada
Kazakhstan
Russia

So what does a private airport in the UK have to do with anything?
