It’s a day ending in “y”, and so it is that Donald Trump has sparked another firestorm of criticism this morning, and in doing so landed himself the honor of being called “a POS” (piece of sh**) by House of Lies star Don Cheadle. The cause: a tweet politicizing the tragic death of 32-year-old Nykea Aldridge, cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade, who was shot and killed Friday night in Chicago. Offering no condolences, Trump used the occasion of her murder for a tone-deaf I-told-you-so brag session about his chances of landing the African American vote, in the process misspelling Wade’s first name.

Who knows? Honestly it sounded like an off the cuff gun control speech. Was he talking about Republicans or Democrats? I would like to think dems but ya never know...

He did in the end condole the family but too little again too late.

The man is so full of himself that he cannot understand when he goes off the deep end, he may want to get 85% or something like that of the black vote after he was president for 4 years but that is never going to happen. The man does not have a the ability most of us have of knowing when it is wise to keep ones mouth shut (or keep from twittering stupid messages).

I'm half-decent at deciphering Trump speak. He was saying that lots of black people in Chicago get shot, and that it's a national disgrace. Then he said that people shouldn't run for office unless they think black people being shot is a bad thing.

Not really sure who he's directing the latter bit towards.

Well see that's the thing about Trump: he crafts his statements in a certain way so that he can go back and say what he "really meant", and cover his own ass later.

Two comments:

1. Trump did offer condolences, on Twitter, as I understand the story, although I'd never be caught dead on Twitter, so I wouldn't know for sure.

2. For those who fail to understand Trump's point, and I hate being in a position of defending anything Trump, it's also my understanding that it's Trump's position that black people who are subjected to violence in their daily lives, such as this poor woman just going about her own business and doing something good for her children, are being ignored by and their support for Democrats abused with no hope or help to change or relieve the problems. He blusters that he will do something about the sad state of the lives of many law abiding, decent, underprivileged blacks who live in fear every day. Who knows if he could or would do anything significant in that regard - but clearly, Democrats have done **** all to help blacks in America.

Oh, that's easy. What HE is trying to communicate is him, he, himself. Period.

What he IS communicating is that he will use any catastrophe, any hardship, any loss to get attention, and that he has not one clue where to start, who to talk to, or even where the goal is. What we know for sure is that he has said "blacks" are great people, "Muslims" are great people and "Mexicans" are great people, but doesn't trust any of them.

I find the "new" who fired a manager rather than "pivot" has done such an extremely good job of pivoting.

I intend to be patronizing to you for three posts

That's exactly what he wants you to think he said. But should anyone ever call him on it, he has flunkies and followers who will be able to explain that "reversal" too. He's verbal yeast, his words between poisonous and petty, give rise to conservatives' hope; that he really isn't a stupid but deft conman.

Both killers were out on Parole instead of locked up, if they were made to serve their full sentence the cousin would still be alive!

He's so damn stupid that he also apparently doesn't realize he did exactly what he claimed Hillary does - used black people as voting pawns.
