Newly released Clinton emails show favors for foundation donors

These would be emails the FBI said she deleted, and they recovered, which it may surprise you to know, and as FBI Comey said, people do delete things in their email in box as a matter of course. Surprise!

Please, first, don't think that anything I'm saying or discussing has anything personal to do with you.

Now, that said:

Your statement is exactly what one would expect as the hoped for response to a money laundering scheme. People would say "How dare you accuse this person/organization of being bad. They do so much good for (fill in the blank)."

As an example, historically, organized crime has given money to pay for the rent if widows, to feed the young orphans, to pay the medical bills of the infirmed, and so on, to both launder money and gain public support. I'm not saying that the Clintons are organized crime. I am saying that the practices they are following can be seen from that same view point.

Read the law. It is illegal for federal government employees to delete federal government related emails. By mixing the private with the government, Hillary made it plausible for her to delete both "inadvertently" yet that doesn't make it any less illegal of an act. Can't say with certainty that the emails Clinton forgot/overlooked will have any hint of impropriety, but if they do, I would bet money your scenario will play out.

It will give leverage against congressmen and Senators inclined to rubberstamp her agenda as well as possibly make the wheels of the bureaucracy grind a tad slower in an executive branch she heads. Basically, the best we can hope for is gridlock if she wins.
 
Man, to watch the usual suspects in here try to parse, and dance on the head of a pin over what is so clear, and then pretend like it doesn't matter is IMHO, what is wrong with this country....Can we imagine what the US will look like after 8 more years of this crap? Good God.....What a sad end to America.

He did not turn over a single email during his time at state - during a time of war.

But that wasn't my point, he did not turn over a single email during his time at state, as he was required to.

He violated the same law the Beaudreaux cited, to whom I was replying.
 
It should be noted Powell's AOL account *was* hacked by Guccifer later, and Powell was forced to deny an affair with a woman he had been carrying on with via emails.

The IG report makes clear there is no comparison between Clinton’s and Powell’s email practices. Powell did use personal email for some official business, but not nearly to the extent Clinton did nor did he use a private server. Although a handful of Powell’s emails were found to be classified at a low level, according to a May 27, 2016 New York Times article, 2,028 of the Clinton’s work-related emails were classified “confidential” and 65 were classified “secret.” 22 other Clinton emails were classified “top secret” or higher and are so sensitive that they will not be released even in redacted form.

Fox News anchor Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday chided Congressman Adam Schiff (D-CA) last weekend for using the “Colin Powell excuse” to deflect the Clinton email scandal by pointing out that State Department security rules concerning the use of personal email for official business were entirely different when Clinton was Secretary. Wallace also counseled Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, that his use of the Powell argument was a red herring and said, “I expect better of you.” Schiff also had no clear answer on why Clinton and her aides refused to cooperate with the State IG’s investigation.

The thing that sucks about this the most, is that the alternative to the lying, criminal, Clinton is Donald Trump. Imagine if even a moderate won the nomination instead. Clinton would be down by 15-20 points at this point.
