Under-fire EU chief Jean-Claude Juncker risked widening divisions with European leaders today by saying borders were the 'worst invention ever'. He called for all borders across Europe to be opened, despite the chaos caused over the last year from the flood in refugees fleeing Syria and the wave of terror attacks hitting various continent's cities.
The remarkable comments will further undermine Mr Juncker's precarious position as European Commission President.
He has faced repeated calls to quit after his failure to keep Britain in the EU and the refugee and Greek debt crises.

Makes perfect sense, from a globalist point of view.

Erase all the national borders and border controls, doesn't political leadership and management move from the individual nation's capitals to the UN?

They are putting impossible demands out now so that, when push through a number of measures that have been less focused and populations have not thought though, but see the point of anger is off the table, there will be less push back.

The EU people are professional populists and know how to manipulate populations.

More likely crime control breaks down in an aggravated turf fight of national politicians and unfunded cetral dreams. This is more or less, what happened in the finance crisis and the Euro debacle and in the refugee crisis and to a lesser degree in many, many other different situations.

All of which would appear to serve to fracture the EU into their individual nations once again.

It is an interesting albeit expensive game they are playing out there.

So each US state has massive border fences that are maned 24/7 and with landmines?

I'm a staunch supporter of the Schengen treaty, but this is the worst time to be making that statement..

Take shelter man, the UN is coming, and Agenda 21 is nigh.

Borders have been around since the first cave man got "stuff". When all the other cave men want your "stuff", you have borders (boundaries).

I bet this dude locks his doors at night.

That's in EU. I'm in US. I don't think it's going to make it all the way here. If anyone tries to push that here, I don't think it'll go far or gain much support.

Greetings, Erik. :2wave:

I have read that both Hillary and Obama agree with Agenda 21!

It's actually like that here in California. If you don't speak Spanish, it's difficult to get a job where there are lots of Mexicans. They flat out won't hire whites. Or blacks for that matter. Industries are becoming language ghettos.

Assuming Hillary wins, amnesty will be granted and the "new" citizens will move up into better jobs, and new illegals will flow in to take their place, and wage rate will have to incentive to rise. IMO, the only way to get wages up is to create a labor shortage, and quit padding the labor market with H1B's and illegals.

In Los Angeles, 20% of the population live below the federal poverty line, and homeless is ~ 16%*. L.A. City has 3.8 million people. *I'm not buying that figure. That would be like 600,000 people.

Hmm. Agenda 21 doesn't seem to be borders related.

Agenda 21 is a non-binding, voluntarily implemented action plan of the United Nations with regard to sustainable development.[SUP][1][/SUP] It is a product of the Earth Summit (UN Conference on Environment and Development) held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1992. It is an action agenda for the UN, other multilateral organizations, and individual governments around the world that can be executed at local, national, and global levels. The "21" in Agenda 21 refers to the 21st Century. It has been affirmed and had a few modifications at subsequent UN conferences.
[h=2]Structure and contents[/h] Agenda 21 is a 350-page document divided into 40 chapters that have been grouped into 4 sections:

  • Section I: Social and Economic Dimensions: is directed toward combating poverty, especially in developing countries, changing consumption patterns, promoting health, achieving a more sustainable population, and sustainable settlement in decision making.
  • Section II: Conservation and Management of Resources for Development: Includes atmospheric protection, combating deforestation, protecting fragile environments, conservation of biological diversity (biodiversity), control of pollution and the management of biotechnology, and radioactive wastes.
  • Section III: Strengthening the Role of Major Groups: includes the roles of children and youth, women, NGOs, local authorities, business and industry, and workers; and strengthening the role of indigenous peoples, their communities, and farmers.
  • Section IV: Means of Implementation: implementation includes science, technology transfer, education, international institutions and financial mechanisms.
