Report: Clinton told FBI Colin Powell advised her to use personal email

Hillary Clinton reportedly told the FBI during her interview with them that Colin Powell told her to use a private email server.

Report: Clinton told FBI Colin Powell advised her to use personal email

Translation: It's the black guy's fault - he made me do it

Previous secretary of state advises secretary of state.

I have no idea if it's true or not -- I'm sure Secretary Powell will weigh in since he got name-dropped -- but it's already been revealed that both Powell and Rice used private servers.

Your translation seems to be rather faulty.

If you read the last three paragraphs, Powell has already responded

Mrs Clinton used a private email address and a private email server. Mr. Powell and Ms Rice used private email addresses and commercial email servers. Also, the rules were "considerably more detailed and more sophisticated" when Mrs Clinton was Secretary of State.

No

Hillary Clinton said 'my predecessors did the same thing' with email | PolitiFact

Clinton said, regarding her State Department email practices, "my predecessors did the same thing."

This is a misleading claim chiefly because only one prior secretary of state regularly used email, Colin Powell. Powell did use a personal email address for government business, however he did not use a private server kept at his home, as Clinton did.

Please reveal it to me, because that would be a first.

Sorry -- private email, not email server. Definitely a difference as far as (potential) hacking could occur, but little else.

The DNC definitely does need a better IT department.

Hillary Clinton should have used the govt system, and none of this would be happening. I don't like her, but I care more about national security. This email scandal bothers me a lot. She let her arrogance get in the way of her duty to our security.

Of course she should have. It was a dumb idea, but I just don't think it reaches to the point of calling her a criminal and screaming "LOCK HER UP" when she hasn't been charged with anything.

I don't trust her as far as I can throw her, but this is only a small part of the reason why.

Come on! She'll never be charged for political reasons. If any ordinary federal employee had pulled that stunt they'd be pumping out license plates at Levenworth already.

If any ordinary federal employee had directed his direct inferior to out a CIA agent for political reasons, he'd be rotting in Leavenworth too.

Do you not realize that it is criminal to leave any classified information unsecured?
In fact their are people right now being charged for the same thing that Clinton wasn't?

In fact they are using the same arguments she did now to defend themselves not that it will matter.
They will lose their security clearance and will not be able to keep their job.

At the minimal she should lose her clearance. In fact the state department is going after the people that worked for her to do the same thing.

Based on what we know about Hillary's e-mail, that which is out in the open in not in dispute, any other federal employee would be in prison.

What you're saying here is pure speculation without a shred of evidence. Never mind that it's irrelevant; Hillary did what she did regardless of what anyone else did.

He did it so it is ok if I do it is not an excuse. She broke the law. She is not above the law she should have been charged
And prosecuted and her conviction appointed by a jury.

She is guilty there is no doubt about it.

So you agree with me. Thanks.

What difference does that make when your above the law.

Just ask anyone with a clearance who handles classified information what happens when you are careless. You get promoted to POTUS.:lamo:lamo

33,000 deleted emails

When the FBI is investigating you and asks for your emails, you don't get to delete some of them and hand over the rest - that's a crime.

When you're the subject of a criminal investigation, and they ask for your records, you don't just get to destroy records and say they're not important and have everybody take your word for it.

If I'm the FBI and I ask you for your records, you don't get to visit the paper-shredder first. Are you kidding me? They should have raided her home and confiscated the server.

Not only did she delete those emails, but she had the people she corresponded with delete their copies of those emails. That's obstruction of justice.

Report: Clinton told FBI Colin Powell advised her to use personal email

Both Powell and Condaleeza Rice used personal email for State Dept business emails. But you knew that, of course, if you're informed on this subject. The difference is that the Democrats are not as likely to have hearings and try to charge political adversaries with crimes at the drop of a hat, on the taxpayer's dime. Their thinking is to throw everything at the wall (with someone else paying), and see what sticks.

Let's see...

She murdered Vince Foster
She criminally withheld and hid law firm billing records
She had someone else killed a few weeks ago
She committed a crime in using personal email server for State Dept business
She is very unhealthy and too at risk to be President
Her family charity foundation is really an elaborate money laundering scheme as well as a pay-to-play quid pro quo for State Dept favors
She stole furniture from the White House
She lied at the hearing on the emails

Did I leave anything out? Wait a few days, and there will be another charge. So far we have: murder, murder for hire, felony theft, felony money laundering, felony selling State Dept favors, medical condition, perjury.

We're missing assault and battery, psychological health, negligent homicide, and a few other things. Stay tuned.

EDITED TO ADD:
OOPS! I missed that one! It just came out today or yesterday - they have hit the "psychological unsoundness" button, now, from no less than libertarian Dr. Drew (an assumed Libertarian candidate Johnson supporter). So we add this one to the list, as I predicted:

Psychological/mental unsoundness

Stay tuned! More to come! (I'm surprised Hillary can still stand, with all these things wrong with her!)

Powell admitted using a personal account with AOL. He has not said he used a personal server where he could scrub emails to avoid a public record. I doubt AOL would have given him that sort of access to their servers.

No, it's back to, let's blame the black guy.

Read the piece?????
What is this subversive nonsense you're suggesting?

It's better than the MSM response: "We're not going to cover that"

That's an interesting opinion you've offered. Remarkable spin.

It is a known fact there is a great difference between how Rice and Powell used their personal emails, versus the way Clinton did. But you would know that because you're informed on the subject.
