Aren't they destroying their own cities right now after a criminal got shot by a black cop for running away with a gun? Why would someone need to try and understand their logic.

I get it. Most people get it. They just hardly agree with it.

They picked a REALLY lousy name. People have hijacked BLM and used its name to burn down their neighborhoods and loot their stores. If a group wants respect, they will GIVE respect. Instead of burning, looting and demonstrating in their own neighborhoods, they would be demonstrating in front of police hq and have a list of reasonable demands. Some of those might be ...

Release of body and dash cam video within 24 hours.
Police review board made up of seven civilians with three of them coming from the victim's community.
Disposition of investigation made public within 90 days.
If officer is found to have violated dept policy, he will be dismissed. His pension will be retroactively placed in Social Security, and he will lose his public pension.
A task force to review dept policy on use of force to be done in six months and made public at that time.

I could come up with more, but I consider it not a bad start.

Black lives matter is a saying a great deal more than police mistreat blacks. You should look over their platform sometime.

I have no interest in understanding a mindset that goes out and destroys their own community due to perceived or real injustices. How does destroying another person's livelihood get back at things that the police do? Seems more like acting out at whatever they can get in reach of.

BLM isn't all about destroying their own community although individuals who do so may endorse BLM due to a lack of convenient misunderstanding

your lack of interest in understanding BLM by painting everyone with the same brush is no different than what those thugs do

they use an excuse to justify their behaviour

same thing different perspective
 
The problem started when "Black Lives Matter" became "Black Lives Matter....More."

Where are the protests when gangs shoot each other?
Where are the protests when neighborhoods get overrun by drug-selling gangs?
Where are the protests when a little black child is murdered because he was caught in gang crossfire?
Where are the protests after over 1,400 more black Americans murdered other blacks in two years than were lynched from 1882 to 1968?
Where are the protests that despite blacks making up 13% of the population, they caused 51% of homicides in the last 30 years?

Until good, lawful blacks start taking their own neighborhoods seriously, they're never going to gain traction. It's straight up hypocrisy.

I like your ideas...However, they've done just that in Minneapolis only to be told to shut up, and were even shot at during that protest.

Here you are in another thread saying "Wahhhh, they never vote for us," and here you are saying "we don't agree, why should we listen."

I have a sneaking suspicion the two phenomena may be related.

The group gained national notoriety based around cases that were built upon lies by the media and members of the movement. Maybe if they were actually worried about fixing the issues instead of just getting reparations and other similar programs.
