You underestimate Evangelical voters at your peril. Even if they are smaller bloc nowadays, they are still a bloc, and Trump is going to need them to win. That's part of why he selected Pence as his running mate.

Trump has said he would attempt to repeal the Johnson Amendment which prevents tax payer money from funding religious institutions that endorse or fun politicians by way of withdrawing tax exemptions for such entities.
This is all evangelicals need to know. Evangelicals would become the most powerful political organization in American and therefore the most powerful political group in the entire World.

I live in the middle of a bunch of evangelical voters. I went to a lunch where everyone but two people were evangelical voters. It was just a get together for ice cream and cookies to meet the new people that have moved into the area. I am surrounded by them. They literally see this election as the choice between two evils. They don't care about Trump's wife being naked. It doesn't have any bearing on how the country will be run. When they compare first spouses it comes down to naked woman or sexual predator.

I'm sure that you love believing that, but it's just not true. None of this kind of ultra-petty crap is going to make a bit difference to almost anyone. The only person who is going to change her mind about voting for Trump is one little old lady, living in an assisted living facility in Bismark ND. That's about it...

You are going to base an opinion of an entire voting demographic based on a few people you have run into? Seems legit.

It wasn't about the dress being too racy, it was about a couple of dim-bulbs who felt that the dress didn't convey the level of formality that they thought that the first official pic of the First Lady should have conveyed. Of course, I actually read the article and not just the headline...

More legit to base an opinion on the people that live around me and that I know very well, in the same demographic that we are talking about, than basing an opinion on a whole demographic on what you hope will happen.

Everyone I've talked to who's liberal seems not to give a **** about Melania's photoshoot.

And in a rapidly secularizing America, the opinions of Evangelical leaders matter less and less. Trump got rebuked by the Pope, ignored the fact that true Evangelical endorsements were few and far between- and still beat down two opponents (Cruz and Rubio) with solid religious conservative credentials.

Trump, a guy who loved Planned Parenthood, has been married three times and sports soft core porn trophy wife that could be his daughter age wise really establishes the demise of the religious right in America.
