Cleveland mayor signs transgender law

LOL..I'm not hating on anyone. Just going with what's real (men are men, women are women) over creating bull**** ordinances regarding politically correct bull****.

do you even realize that by calling it PC you are admitting that they're disadvantaged and discriminated against? That's literally the definition of PC. You're calling them victims

I'm pretty sure they are using the restroom now. Most people are not even suggesting changing that, but for the ones that are they are suggesting a different restroom. As you can plainly see neither solution calls for them having no where to pee.

you certainly have suggested that solution - "you don't have a right to piss when in public" to paraphrase a post you kept defending

so i dismiss your attempt to pretend this has no impact on transgender. You just use whichever hateful argument is convenient at the time

I don't believe in the concept of a right to pee in the bathroom of your choice. That doesn't however mean I want people to pee their pants though.

Which is why you have issues. Genetics is not that simple. It is far more complicated than all women have XX and all men have XY. Plus, very few people have had their sex verified via DNA testing. It's very expensive. And isn't nearly as flawless as people want to believe. On top of that, your genetics is privacy protected by law. Random people going to the restroom have no right to know the actual DNA of the person in the stall beside them.

Intersexed people? You mean folks born with a birth defect? Beats the hell out of me...what's the number on that .01% or less? In healthy, no deformed, adults...there are only TWO sexes. Everything else is PC bull****.

You are now limiting your argument. You had to dismiss your entire earlier point because not all people are male or female.

As I said before, I believe all bathrooms should be unisex.

But as long as they aren't, there is a simple way to solve this - people with male sex organs use the Men's Room and those with female sex organs use the Woman's Room.

And if anyone has a problem with that - I literally do not much care.

This law looks silly and overly PC.

Are you talking about individualized bathrooms being unisex, or do you mean group bathrooms should also be unisex?

I think all bathrooms should be unisex - group or otherwise (with stalls with doors, or course).

Separating men and women just promotes ignorance and sexism.

I grew up with women...sharing a bathroom didn't destroy me - it became no big deal. Just as it would be for all people's once they got used to it.

1.) thats not a solution at all LMAO in fact thats a pretty dumb way to do it since that hasnt been the way we have been doing it our whole life time
2.) thats good because your solution is not how it is or how its going to be and it doesnt matter either, also if you dont care you could stop discussing it LMAO
3.) your opinion is meaningless to peoples rights or not being discriminated against. The law wouldn't be needed if people weren't trying to discriminate thats the silly part.

by your broken logic you would FORCE these two guys into the womans bathroom.

and FORCE this girl into the mens bathroom

yeah that sound like a GREAT idea <sarcasm> nah ill stick with how it is and continue to protect people from being grossly discriminated against.

Man, I can see a lot of bad things happening if guys were allowed to be in the same public bathrooms with women. There'd be all kinds of perverts hanging around in the bathrooms, leering, etc. There would be guys making inappropriate remarks, etc. There'd be all kinds of sexual harassment. Women would simply stop going to public bathrooms, and would complain that they no longer feel safe, etc. Totally unworkable idea - like "let's no longer have locks on doors, and just use signs telling people they can't come in".

hey genius, it's against that law do discriminate against those that are physically/mentally disabled.

Hey Genius, being a transgender is not recognized as a disability.

Leering at what, fully clothed women? And loitering would still be illegal. Even a woman cannot hang out in the women's restroom, no matter what she's doing, unless it's using the restroom, waiting to use the restroom, or waiting on someone who is using the restroom. You go in, do your business, hopefully wash your hands, and leave.

You mean a lady is going to have to sit in a bathroom stall that was just used by a messy guy who didn't care enough to aim?
And then while she's sitting in that stall, there'll be some other guy in the stall nextdoor, farting away? Women would simply stop using public restrooms.

I work in a retail store and have been in probably thousands of lady's restrooms in my lifetime. Women pee, poop, and bleed on the seats. Women fart and believe it or not can stink up a bathroom pretty much the same as men.

So got any other absolutely ridiculous stereotypes about men and women you want to show?

So the right of the mentally ill to use the wrong bathroom supersedes the right of the normal citizen to feel comfortable in the right one?

1) There exists no right to "feel comfortable" in the correct bathroom

2) As a Libertarian (or maybe just a libertarian), I'm sure you can agree that government should have absolutely no place in deciding a private institution's bathroom usage polices. The people could completely resolve the issue by themselves if we removed current anti-discrimination laws (on private institutions obviously, of course government can't discriminate) and stopped making new ones; letting the free market work freely.

If you are transgender or if you are non-transgender but pro-transgender, then make the choice to not be a customer of businesses with more conservative bathroom policies. If these people really are devoted enough and are willing to be persistent in their protest, then that business will perceive the damage and change its bathroom policies.

Believe me, they care a lot more about your money than about which restroom you choose to use.

1: Then why the need for the laws/ordinances in the first place?

2: Absolutely, government should never tell a business who they can and cannot serve.

3: So-called 'transgendered' make up a TINY fraction of the public. Their buying power is insignificant next to normal people's power. They, and others like them, use government to twist the free market into a coerced market.
