Nope....mentioning that this is a Gun Free Zone, is not exploitation...it's a fact.

Like in ever shooting incident like this....people cannot defend themselves.

KTLA just confirmed two dead......per the UCLA Police Chief.

Still searching for the shooter.
 
UCLA Police Chief says that the two victims could be a murder suicide but that they cannot confirm that, and the it is possible that the shooter may be one of the two dead but cannot confirm that either.
 
How can a murder-suicide be anything other than obvious? Did the shooter have a friend to take the gun away?

Even if it is obvious, they hold off on divulging that info until it's positively confirmed.

It probably is obvious, however, the police are not going to say everything is safe until they can search everywhere and confirm that first. Plus, just because a gun may be at the scene, it doesn't prove that one of the two dead may have been the one firing the gun. Plus a lot of other reasonable reasons to not confirm such things without definitive evidence to confirm it.

Have to disagree with you on that. Not only does a shooter always have the advantage of suprise in these situations, untrained personnel waving guns around are more likely to shoot each other or get shot then kill the shooter.

A tired, false worn out meme from the 'gun' rubbers....

First these schools have roving ARMED police patrols, so easy isn't the word i'd pick. Next so few CCW carry even in 'gun' friendly state the odds of a skilled and courageous citizen being at the right place at the right time is slim at best.

Next- most workplace/higher education shootings are REVENGE shootings- targeting a particular person, perhaps a couple of people- hence low body counts compared to primary and secondary shootings or public assembly mass murder. The odds of armed citizens being able to stop the shooter from taking down the primary target are extremely low. (I believe this is being called a murder-suicide- little hope of any CCW stopping at least the first death and the second one was again the shooter's intent as well)

But do keep rubbing that 'gun' and clinging to myths... :peace

You do not know the motive.
Many areas have gun free zones - do we see a massive number of killing in these places. So yes as per norm, you are exploiting this, and using the dead to further your agenda.

You won't see this happening next fall in Texas, My kids will be armed with AR-15's for class. Violence breaks they will eliminate the threat.

You can disagree, if you'd like.......

However, in a classroom full of people, that element of surprise is momentary.............. and a CCW person also has an element of surprise.

An active shooter has to focus on one person at a time, leaving them vulnerable to others.

If a person is packing a firearm and has his/her CC permit, they are not untrained, nor should they be waving a gun around...that denotes a reckless, untrained person.
Calif. requires 16 hours of training....minimum. I require the same in my classes.
 
Another load of SWAT just showed up....about a dozen or more on one vehicle.

Correct- recall that one who was shooting at shoplifters, happened a few months back. Never had 1 hit. Very lucky that no one was injured or killed by a poor shot or a ricochet. That wannabe Super Girl should had done serious time.

I never said anything about motive on this thread....nor do I know what it was.
We see mass killings, in Gun Free Zones, all over the world.....several times per year.

Your criticism, like that of Redress....is unfounded and wrong!
 
Recovered the gun at the scene...so it appears to be a murder/suicide at this time.
Campus is now safe and students are returning to classes.

Ca does not require 16 hours of training, and as of January first of this year the ccw exemption has been removed from GFZ.
