Neither George W nor George HW Bush will endorse Donald Trump

The #nevertrump people out there really do have a difficult choice to make and that would include all the Bush clan and many many others.

1. Do they stick to their principles and maybe their prejudices and withhold their vote as well as their public support for any candidate? Or vote third party which has exactly the same effect as no vote?

2. Do they hold their nose and vote for Trump in hope that he will be better than they expect or at least better than a President Hillary or Bernie would be?

3. Or do they vote for Hillary and whatever left wing radical she chooses as her vice president knowing that this means four to eight more years of the status quo?

Not an easy choice for people who really don't see Trump as a viable candidate but want the best choice for the country. But I am ashamed of Bush 41 and 43 and Jeb, who broke his solemn pledge to support the GOP candidate, who would rather throw the Presidency and maybe the Congress to Hillary rather than support a GOP nominee they don't like.

1. Trump is against the illegals and for the Wall.
2. Trump is for bringing the manufacturing jobs that used to be here back home.
3. Trump is against playing world cop and getting crap in return.
4. Trump is against NATO riding our back.
5. Trump is against Muslims coming here until we are 100% sure they are not coming to kill.

Which one do you object to? For your convenience I got them nicely lined up and numbered.

It's his means to achieve these ends with which I disagree. And frankly, some of his ends I disagree with as well.

1) Against illegals and for the wall: To battle illegal immigrants, he is going to build a wall... studies on the cost vs effectiveness of this plan show that it's not feasible. We do have an illegal immigrant problem; most politicians agree with that. His solution is far from adequate. We have a serious problem in this nation in that a large portion of our working population is about to retire and live on the backs of workers. What we need are workers! The more I consider the options and the consequences, looking at all variables, the more an EASIER pathway to citizenship seems to make the most sense.
2) Bring manufacturing jobs back. Again, most politicians agree with this. It's his solution to do it that is my problem. Lower corporate tax rates is the primary component of the plans he's been willing to share so far. It sounds grand on paper. Until you look 5-10 years down the road at the deficit. Which is why he has been blasted lately on his 'solutions' to fix the debt problems (i.e. printing more money to pay off the debt).
3) What he's against is getting crap in return. He wants America to continue to be the international bully, but now he's going to start making extreme demands. If they hated us before, imagine the attacks we'll receive in response to Trump's demands!
4) And his way of solving NATO is to negotiate. What he'll negotiate has not been declared. He's just promised that he can and will, and that he's very good at it. Details, please, Mr. Trump!
5) This is border-line bigotry. How can you know any person, despite race or religion, is not coming here with malice intent? This is fear mongering at its best. This is a situation that I am against the end, not just the means in which he hopes to achieve the end.

No one ever agrees with a politician 100%. No two people have the exact same views on everything. My goal is to find a politician that closely resembles my views AND more importantly: I trust their ability to make rational decisions after looking at all the variables, including the consequences of their decisions.

Though I agree with a few of Trump's beliefs, most of the time I believe his 'solutions' would cause more damage than good. He's great at soundbites. He's not great at at understanding the consequences of his solutions.
