N.Y. college students accused of fabricating racially motivated attack

Tawana Brawley would be proud.

Throw the book at these lying bitches. Then once they're out of prison, they can work for Al Sharpton.

I bet Al was ringing those girls up real fast, he was always one to Grandstand.

I'm not saying it's not serious or shouldn't be punished. But I think for many non-violent crimes (which this isn't, it centered around assault) that instead of jail we could use fines and massive community service.

If they would have gotten away with it, do you think the people they falsely accused wouldn't have been subjected to violence in prison? What about the very real possibility of violent reprisals they would have been subjected to had the people of that community believed those girls? What about their job/career future with that on their records?

I think that those girls (and anyone else who falsely accuses someone of a crime) should automatically get the maximum fines and prison sentences that those they falsely accused could have gotten if they had been wrongly convicted based on their lies.

I am not familiar with the case.

But as always 'innocent until proven guilty'.
