Protesters take to streets after Trump rally in California

Re: Donald Trump CA protest

Now, this is ironic. Southerners have been screaming about how the Confederate Battle Flag is an expression of Southern culture and pride to no avail. If you wave that flag, you're a bigot. A word of advice to the Mexican-Americans who are invoking the culture argument and disavowing nationalism when waving a national flag at heated political demonstrations: Give it up.

We live in a free society, not a dictatorship. People are allowed to wave or not wave a flag.

Re: Donald Trump CA protest

The suburbs and exurbs of LA are nowhere near as conservative as they used to be.

I have seen exactly zero Cruz support in CA. Been selling candidate gear most of the year around the state and haven't sold a single Cruz item. Have registered/updated voter registration for approx 1500 people in CA this cycle and not a single one of them has expressed interest in the guy. I would be supremely pissed if Cruz wins. A Trump nomination equals a fun filled summer and fall of working county fairs and rallies trolling liberals and making a lot of money in the process selling Trump gear. Can't do the same with Cruz because literally no one likes the guy. Can't move his product. Would be stuck working boring low paying GOTV crap or something this election cycle. I'm fairly certain the only reason he is getting any votes is because he is not Trump. Or his voters are weird religious people.

I don't consider myself either weird or religious, and I have supported Ted Cruz from the beginning. The surveys of his support in the various congressional districts that furnish the electors do not jibe with your statement that he has no support in this state.

And perhaps you're fooled into thinking he's not. It's not like you've been right about any of this thus far, is it now?

Well, Mother Jones seems to think he's on her side. Who am I to disagree?

He thinks affirmative action is okay.
He would fund Planned Parenthood except for abortion. (This is current federal policy, though Trump doesn't seem to know it.)
He supports a progressive income tax. He does not favor a flat tax.
He doesn't believe you should be able to fire someone just for being gay.
He doesn't want to cut Social Security or Medicare.
He's in favor of a ban on assault weapons.
He invited Bill and Hillary Clinton to his wedding.
He doesn't "fully" believe in supply-side economics.
He wants to "lead from behind" on Ukraine. Trump believes that Germany should take the lead on Ukraine.
He hates the Iran deal, but he wouldn't abrogate it after taking office.

Well, it depends on where and what it is you're talking about. Students on many college campuses who want to wear a Confederate flag on their clothing or display one in their dorms are likely to face sanction or intimidation for doing so. So they're not really free to wear or display it. On the other hand, you'll see the Mexican flag proudly displayed in dorms and Hispanic student unions around the country.

And if a school decides for "security reasons" to ban the display of Old Glory or other patriotic symbols on Cinco de Mayo in any of the states covered by the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals it can legally do it (Court OKs school's ban on U.S. flag T-shirts on Cinco de Mayo - CNN.com).

Lmao, looks like a bunch of successful, educated, mature adults right there! That's why they'll always be at the bottom of the human race. Really, they're more closely related to wild animals than civilized humans.
A blogger with a Trump hat and shirt was the recipient of 6 stitches and a bloody face.

Have no idea how much coverage this is getting, but it should be good for a few folks reconsidering their vote.

I know the Left has difficulty with honesty... But Republicans tend to be sick of illegal invaders... Not legal immigration... Something the Leftist leadership has tremendous difficulty addressing honestly.

If you recall, the protester who was sucker-punched at that Trump rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina received considerable coverage on nightly news broadcasts and major national media. You can bet that if he'd received a nasty gash to his forehead it would have been plastered on CNN and every television in the country. This incident, meanwhile, has largely been ignored. If you see this guy's picture it's usually buried somewhere in an online edition.

Just for kicks, I Googled "protester assaulted Trump rally Fayettville" and "protester assaulted Trump rally Orange County" and here are the top five entries for each:

Unscientific to be sure, but insightful nonetheless.

Perhaps, your interpretation. According to this article: Trump protesters, Mexican flag-wavers could bring unintended consequences for GOP race - LA Times
"While many may see it as un-American, the Mexican flag is actually used to express diversity within the United States, especially in California, where many are of Mexican heritage, the activist said.

“Protesters chose to bring out the Mexican flag to demonstrate their culture and not their nationality,” Villanueva said. “In this election year, I find the fact that people are waving Mexican flags more important than people waving American flags because of the diversity within our own American culture.”

Or, perhaps your interpretation, and that of the failing and irrelevant sycophants at the LA Times. Perhaps you would think differently if you lived in Southern California and experienced first hand what is going on. Arm chairing from New England apparently makes it difficult to overcome an entrenched bias.

SHOCK VIDEO: ‘Dreamers’ flip off Trump supporters, shout expletives at passing cars | The American Mirror

I understand that they want to voice their opinion, that they are angry. Why do they have to resort to this? That will get them a lot of sympathy.

They are criminals with no respect for our laws or anyone for that matter. Keeping criminals and violent people with no respect for anyone is the reason we have an immigration policy. Immigrants are a great addition to this country and have played one of the most important roles in making this country one of the greatest in the world. Criminals entering this country illegally with no respect for the people here or our laws will only destroy this country. These law breakers need to be deported while the millions of people waiting patiently all over the world to enter this country legally need to be let in. An immigration policy that rewards criminals and puts criminals ahead of law abiding people is not a good immigration policy. I have to support Trump not the criminals on this issue.

Disrupting and closing down a political opponents campaign rallies was a favorite tactic of Hitler’s Brown Shirts. It’s also favorite tactic of Progressive Liberal Democrat Brown Shirts. In America today Democrats are the only ones doing this.

Are you sure? It is one thing to guess, another to back up the claim. Not saying it isn't so, but throwing out some rumors to see where they stick isn't fair.

You're right, and it's not surprising... It's just another example of the Circle Jerk Media... All wet from one another.

And then we have Guccifer... Who was interviewed in Romania (I'm there now by chance)... But the Circle Jerk Media arm known as NBC decided to withhold the interview of him claiming Hillary's toilet server was easy to crack.

This is the pathetic level of Amerikan Journ-O-lismus. I've said it before... Goebbels would have been proud.

Gawd this feels like a six year old's argument.

No, not really.

Hey, I'm just pointing out what should be obvious: You're only free to the degree you toe the PC line. If you don't, then you're likely to be suspended or brought up before an academic committed by the local diversity staffer for a "bias incident." I guess being from Massachusetts this sort of thing is so routine that you think nothing of it. You still live under the delusion that you're free.

Re: Donald Trump CA protest

Gawd this feels like a six year old's argument.
The problem goes back a lot longer than six years. The difficulty is that there are too many under-informed people who don't even understand that there is a problem.
