At least 14 Doctors Without Borders staff, patients killed in Aleppo airstrikes

If you want to be a doctor in the middle of a war zone and you get bombed you cant really blame anyone but yourself, just saying...

you know it's funny, some people with gifts and skills at saving life just seem to think for some reason that they should use them to help the poorest, the most marginalized and those most in need

in spite of danger to themselves

it's called a humanitarian and they are heroic

for some reason most of the rest of us in this savage world do not share their love or drive or their lack of selfish desire to amass a fortune with their skills

pity really

More likely the fire was from US aircraft. Not the bold C-130 gunship tactics of months previous, but some sort of US weapon.

It is amazing that there appears to be virtually nothing you don't see some conspiracy in. You really need to see a mental health professional about your issues. I would be willing to bet if you could start being able to understand truth from fiction you would lead a happier life.

MSF are a fantastic organisation and they currently have Staff involved in interventions in over 75 Countries around the world. Assistance is provided on a needs alone basis. They provide free medical care to people who need it. It doesn’t matter which country they are from, which religion they belong to, or what their political affiliations are. All that matters is they are human beings in need.

Some of the assignments are more dangerous than others and the Staff are aware of that when they choose to go into hostile areas. You don't go there expecting to be killed or injured but like any choice you make, you understand there are risks involved. Unfortunately those areas are also the ones that often have the most need for assistance. Those who value human life and are dedicated and committed enough to help others will still go, irrespective of the risks involved.

For those advocating "You can't really blame anyone but yourself if you get killed", I think it's pretty idiotic to even go there. They're not blaming anyone, they're dead . Their dedication and commitment to providing medical care to those in need resulted in the ultimate sacrifice.

Aleppo btw, is in desperate need of assistance and the situation overall for the Syrians left there is dire to say the least. Much of the city is in ruins. No doubt the staff left in the affected area will be doing their best to manage with what resources they have left for now.

RIP to all.
