Dennis Hastert gets 15 months in prison in hush money case

No, I side with justice, fairness, law and order. Statute of Limitations are a creation of the law. I've also stated in fact it was the first thing I said when you decided to get all vigilante that molestation and murder should have

The largest reason molesters are repeat offenders is because law enforcement actually fails to follow up. Be it Jerry Sandusky who was caught dead to rights in 1998 and not charged or Bill Cosby years ago. If law enforcement did the job in the first place.. SoL would never be a concern.

There is nothing fair about a statute of limitations. But thank you for showing us that you support child molesters.

A threat to go public is blackmail if you are seeking money to keep quiet. End of the day, the victim is gonna go to jail as well and may get more time then Hastert as Blackmail carries upto 15 years sentence.

There was no threat to go public.

All an SoL does is protect the criminals. If you burn down a house, why should it matter if a certain period of time has passed? Is the house still burned down? Rob a bank? Steal a car? There should be no magic time when a person can suddenly feel free to tell the world about what they did without consequences. Basically, all an SoL does is give criminals a goal. Get away with it for five or seven or ten years.

SoL's also protect innocent people who are accused of committing a crime many years ago.

No, that is the job of the jury. All a Statute of Limitations does is protect criminals who have committed a crime and managed to avoid being caught long enough. In this case it saved a Child Molester from prosecution. Good Job!

Repeating what you said doesn't make it any more true

Repeating what you said doesn't make it any more true

No. It is true because, it is the truth. I know there are those that will always fight for the criminal. Those that side with the child molester over the victim. Those that think that poor criminals are treated poorly. I have a low opinion of them. And just because you object to what I said repeatedly, doesn't make it untrue. The only person who benefits from a statute of limitations is the perpetrator. Way to go! Support Criminal Rights.

Saying that I am siding with the criminal because I point out the truth about the law is the same thing as saying you side with Hastert when you point out that he wasn't convicted of child molestation

No, you are clearly on the side of child molesters if they just make it a few years from the crime. Who does a statute of limitations benefit? Oh right criminals.

The SoL protects the innocent.

No, it doesn't. It protects criminals who commit a crime then wait out the clock In the situation of this thread it protected a CHILD MOLESTER. Aren't you glad you are on his side?

You're the one who has been defending Hastert, an admitted child molester

I, in no way defend Dennis Hastert. I believe that Statute of Limitations laws have made it impossible to try him for the dispicable crimes that he committed. If they were abolished he could be tried and if found guilty spend the rest of his life in prison. The only thing an SoL does it protect the criminal.

You defended him

disgusting

That post is a lie. I have not, nor do I defend Dennis Hastert. I have clearly stated numerous times that the statute of limitations should be eliminated just because of cases like this. Therefore, your post is a lie.

you have defended that disgusting pervert

And you are a liar. Show where I have defended him once. I have posted time and time again that the statute of limitations should not exist so that felons can be prosecuted. Why do you insist on lying? I have been the only one wanting the statute of limitations repealed nationwide. Others have defended them. I simply stated the fact that a statute of limitations allowed him to avoid prosecution. But you keep lying.
