Russia denies wrongdoing after jet barrel-rolls over U.S. aircraft

And what's wrong with that?
...it's a hilarious overreaction to some pilot shenanigans.

Besides, it would not just be over this 1 incident. It would be for the dozens of times Russian Bombers have violated American airspace since Obungle's been in office.
And what about the hundreds of times before that? I guess you don't give a **** when a Republican is in office.

So we should wait until they go too far and injure or kill somebody over their hotdogging?

So we should wait until they go too far and injure or kill somebody over their hotdogging?

Because economic sanctions are an appropriate response to aircraft accidents?

"Putin flew a plane by shipz"
"BOMB THE **** OUT OF HIMZ!"

A strong leader would have started WW3 by now. Or at least sent a nasty letter.

So we should simply tolerate these provocations with no response whatsoever?

What do you suggest then?

I asked first.

I look at exchanges like this and I think: It's strange....

.....I voted for Obama and I seem to have a much easier time articulating exactly why I'm so disappointed in him and what he should have done instead. His constant detractors, however, never seem to have the slightest clue what he should have done. It's just endless paraphrasings of "Obama is bad because Obama shut up," they explain.

Obama's foreign policy is a failure because Iran will keep working towards a bomb, they say, but there's never an explanation for how they would have stopped Iran from doing this completely.

Same when it comes to Russia buzzing our military, same when it comes to the aftermath of the Libyan rebellion, same when it comes to the Egyptian people ousting Mubarak, etc etc etc.

Suggestion: conservatives, just be quiet. Everyone knows you hate Obama. K? They get it. Instead of endlessly blaming everything on Obama, then cutting & running, how about actually explain what you would do (or Obama should have done) that would stop whatever it is your blaming on Obama from happening. Otherwise, the commentary is useless.

Thus, instead of hiding behind "I asked first", countryboy and everyone who thinks alike needs to explain exactly what Obama should do about this buzzing, exactly why it would work, and exactly why it would be worth the risks it would entail.

Libs often play this silly game. I am perfectly willing to discuss my opinion. It's called an exchange of ideas, and the person who I responded to with "I asked first", wasn't even the person who never did answer my question. So,

I noticed you didn't venture to answer the question either. What would be the appropriate response?

I didn't venture to answer the question BECAUSE I'M NOT THE ONE WHO BLAMED OBAMA.

That was kind of the entire point of the post you responded to. You say Obama is making it worse? Then explain exactly what you would do instead, why it would work, and why it would be worth the risks as compared to current policy.

Otherwise, you're just doing what the GOP/Fox want you to do.

Quotes of me saying that. Thanks.

Were you hoping I didn't know what the ">>" button does? Because anyone can see that you were clearly blaming things on Obama for doing nothing, then refused PoS's challenge to articulate what you would do.

It was booking it over the Baltic towards Russian territory and no international law says any nation hast to wait for unknown aircraft to enter their airspace before intercepting.

What evidence do you have that the reconnaissance aircraft was about to enter any other nation's airspace? If this country were purposely challenging another nation's boundaries, it would hardly be so stupid as to do it with a large, unarmed, and relatively slow aircraft.

There is a graduated, standardized international procedure for nations to use to warn an aircraft that is headed toward their airspace to change course. No stage in that procedure calls for directing a fighter to perform an aerobatic maneuver dangerously close to the approaching aircraft.

The notion this was an "unknown aircraft" is laughable. At that range, the Russian pilot could have seen clearly that it was an American plane he was buzzing.

They can and do give the same response as we and our allies do whenever they feel like testing the boundaries of response time too. The difference is that the United States is being a big fat baby about it this time.

You are blaming the country you live in while making apologies for a recklessly dangerous act by one of its chief adversaries. The similar aggressive display toward one of our warships recently shows this was no accident, but rather part a purposeful effort by the Russian leadership to intimidate the person currently disgracing the White House. Seven-plus years of bowing and scraping by President Limpwrist has invited this kind of thing.

There's an old saying; if you can't run with the big dogs, you'd better stay on the porch.

Of course the pilot knew once in visual range, but that doesn't address what I said. The Russians didn't know what it was until they sent the fighter to intercept. If the United States doesn't want Russian aircraft intercepting its military planes then next time they should tell the Russians what they're doing instead of sending reconnaissance planes on a flight path leading directly into Russian airspace.

Both Russia and the United States have been doing things like this and worse since the cold war so you can stop blaming Obama. As for blaming my country; if the shoe fits. Don't poke someone in the eye and complain when they punch you in the nose.

To hell with the enemies of this country, both foreign and domestic.

I never once blamed Obama for anything. In fact, I never even mentioned Obama.
