Russia jets make 'simulated attack' on US warship in 'aggressive' Baltic incident

If you have a issue with people being asked to back up their claims that is your problem not mine. It's rather standard on debate forums.

Apparently you are not to familiar with Thoreau and his nonsense

You said it was a 'claim' of his.

It was not a 'claim'.

He merely passed on a report widely circulated and discussed in military chit chat circles. I heard a lot about it a month or so ago myself. It was fairly big news in that area - an Aegis destroyer getting nullified by a Russian jammer. I assume it was not true, but the interesting thing is the American Navy did not seem to directly deny it.
Ahh it's probably just Russian propaganda...but it's interesting.

He even said 'if it was true'...which means he was not claiming it, just passing it on.

I don't know your history with him, but when someone passes on an article and then says 'if it is true'; then that is not a claim. That is merely passing on information with a disclaimer.

You are acting like he originated the report and/or was championing it...he did neither (from what I saw).

That's my point.

Good day.

You know, I had an epiphany about this very complaint of yours just the other day while transitioning from mach numbers to knots in my descent into Chicago. Was going to make a detailed post on it. However, I never got an answer to that question I'd been asking so didn't get around to it. But that's all for the CT forum

It was just the "ludicrous idea" comment of yours that I could not pass up. Yes, there are many ludicrous ideas passed off by the mainstream media and those they serve. What's fascinating is that so many folks buy into ludicrous ideas as long as they are told by authority figures.

Is that an appeal to authority?
