She was reportedly kicking the cop... She was only restrained after the cop took her down and handcuffed her. It's not revenge. It's a take down maneuver. The grab and take down was one maneuver.. Or so I suspect based on what we know and the editing of the video by the mom or the blogger to start at a selected spot.
I watched the video.
If that cop cannot simply restrain a 12 year old girl long enough to put handcuffs on her, he needs to be put on leave while he hits the gym until he can. Oh wait, we know he can because he lifted her in the air before face-planting her on the ground.
Was she kicking him at the time? No. He had her by either arm and was force-marching her out.
And like I said, I don't want government agents to feel that they are free to inflict physical injury simply because they're mad at who they are arresting. Government agents invested with the power of life or death over the citizenry need to be held to higher standards than the citizenry.
Argue for greater pay or benefits if you want. But not the right to bodyslam snotty pre-teen girls.
Fun fact: you'll go to jail if you do that to your own daughter, "kicks" or not.
