Iceland PM resigns amid Panama Papers scandal, official says

I read many articles about the Iceland fiasco, I am surprised this PM had the gonads to do stuff like this all over again.
 
This will probably make the Icelandic people even more angry. That the primeminister claims he just taken a break and didn't resign.

In a press release sent to international media outlets the spokesman of Iceland’s Prime Minister claims the PM did NOT resign yesterday. Instead the Prime Minister only asked the Party’s vice chairman to “take over the office of Prime Minister for an unspecified amount of time.” Political observers have described this latest course of events as “farcical” and a game of semantics. Also the Icelandic people have gone trough a lot and even had terrorist laws used against them.

He literally just released a quote saying that his name does not appear once in the papers. However, his inner circle is implicated quite a bit. Always interesting.
