You're ignoring... Completely the things republicans have done such as in Texas and Alabama that are actively and specifically designed to impede abortion providers.
Abortion is under attack in the United States, by knuckle dragging troglodytes who think they'll sleep a little bit better knowing rape victims will be forced to gestate their rapists baby.
Roe v Wade is the law of the land, forevermore. They can nibble and irritate but that is about the extent of it. Sooner or later the light is going to come on and they will realize that the only realistic way to combat abortion is to deal with unwanted pregnancy. Once that finally happens only the TRUE knuckle draggers will oppose that strategy and when they do, they'll be marginalized.
And ftr, the rape victim thing is also overplayed. Rape victims count for a tiny fraction of all abortions. It's an effective play to emotion, though.
