Trump has released the following statement:
I was really curious if something other than Breitbart employees resigning because they perceived a lack of support from their employer would ever result from this allegation. I will be curious to see whether reporters finally start to ask the Donald about his campaign manager.
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump's campaign manager was arrested in Florida on Tuesday and charged with simple battery, police records show.
The report from the Jupiter Police Department said Corey Lewandowski was charged for intentionally grabbing and bruising the arm of Michelle Fields, a former reporter for the conservative news outlet Breitbart, against her will at a Trump campaign event on March 8.
Trump has released the following statement:
"Mr. Lewandowski is absolutely innocent of this charge," Trump said in a statement. "He will enter a plea of not guilty and looks forward to his day in court. He is completely confident that he will be exonerated."
