A suicide blast in the eastern Pakistan city of Lahore has killed at least 63 people, a senior police official told CNN.

More than 300 others were injured, police official Haider Ashraf said.
Officials said the blast was from a suicide bomber and happened at the city's Gulshan Iqbal Park.
The explosion ripped through the heart of Lahore on Sunday evening, at a time when many families were at the park.

The thread is about Islam due to the nature of the attack and who did it. There cannot be a bombing without a "bomber" and a reason behind it.

When will 'moderate' Muslims show some decency and common sense and leave this backward religion for one more compatible with a civilized world? It may not seem important what some people believe but these 7th Century crazies are acting out their beliefs.

This thread is about yet another example of Islamic Jihad killing people, so a discussion about the ideology, or rather theology, underpinning the motivations of the attackers is not only justified but essential to any meaningful conversation about the event.

The last few days has seen attacks by a variety of Islamic groups across the world, deploying a variety of means to kill as many as possible, but they're all united by their faith.

Some are apparently more human than others.

Why not be critical of those Islamic murderers who are committing all of this crap around the world? It seems we are dealing with people who can walk and talk like adults but who have the minds of children. Every Muslim everywhere should be filled with shame at the actions of their fellow religionists.

Do you really believe their intended targets were other than Christians celebrating Easter? Every time a Muslim tries to defend this sort of behavior, or distance themselves from it, or deflect from it, they just expose their innate craziness further.

When are Muslim leaders going to issue fatwas against these religious fanatics?

Muslims in Lahore Pakistan celebrating Easter? Yeah, I suppose there might have been a few, just like the six Muslim Pakistanis killed in the twin towers on 9/11/2001 who were just trying to make a living or otherwise go on about their daily lives. The common thread is the perpetrators were Muslim.
