A Peruvian mother of three-year-old twins has been confirmed as one those killed in the suspected double suicide bomb attack at a Brussels airport.

Adelma Tapia Ruiz, 37, died while checking in at Zaventem Airport, ahead of a planned trip to visit relatives in New York.

According to reports her husband and two daughters survived the attack.

Her brother, Fernando Tapia, said: "She (sister) had twins called Maureen and Alondra Delcambe Tapia.

"They were in the Brussels airport too, they were connecting through to New York to meet my sister Milenka Tapia. In the end this attack stopped this destiny."
According to Mr Tapia, his sister had lived in Belgium for nine years after marrying a local man.
"She had also planned to come back to Peru this year. Now she can't come back."

At least 34 people were killed in the attacks on Zaventem Airport and Maelbeek metro station - almost 200 were injured.

I doubt that many Muslims will see this innocent ladies death as a good thing.

But I'm sure that some bigots will blame every Muslim on this planet for this ladies death.

Let's wait and see.

Damn these misunderstanders of Islam! FYI most Muslims do not admit to supporting terrorism (unless it's against Israel) but the overwhelming majority support the objectives of AQ and ISIS IE Islamic theocracy based on Sharia including the persecution and subjugation of homosexuals, women, and Jews.

It amazes me how people love to chatter about anecdotes. Sure it is sad. But indiscriminate attacks kill and maim and there will be always be sadness. Why dwell on gruesome details, when it is always more of the same?

Because I thought it was a story that some here might want to read. Like maybe they'd like to get to know someone who was lost in this tragedy, rather than just dismiss them as statistics.
I don't understand saying "sure these things happen, move on"?? Don't you think that those who lost their lives deserve a moment of consideration?

The thing is that it won't help talking about the victims. It is better to concentrate on the reasons and solutions and above all to keep the problem in perspective.
