But they aren't showing these videos in Community Colleges either. This 'real world' doesn't exist for most people of any age. Myself and others have been banned from this site for showing shots of people being beheaded and yet it's expected that adults are generally the users of this forum.
My guess is that it's not the gore that's the problem but that it might reflect badly on Islam. That's another reality Muslims and others don't like.
We have long generally believed that in polite society one does not show gruesome picks of death, no matter how they happened, unless there is an extremely good reason. You need to factor that in as well. I am not sure that the argument that an Daesh beheading video has value that outweighs this prohibition wins the day.
