What Trump stands to gain by speaking at AIPAC

Donald Trump announced Wednesday morning that he planned to skip Monday’s now-canceled Republican debate in favor of attending a pro-Israel conference hosted by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).

Political scientists say that Trump could likely only stand to gain from eschewing the debate in favor of the speech at AIPAC.


Trump’s attendance and speech to AIPAC has shocked some in the Jewish community…..and demonstrations have been planned to show disfavor of AIPAC inviting Trump to speak………..The Donald is no fool and has much to gain by speaking to the group……

For myself, I find demonstrating against Trump disappointing and shameful………….and out of character……even though understandable……..and not in keeping with Jewish tradition of offering hospitality to those invited to one’s “home”……..

It's combination of Trump having nothing to gain by going to the debate plus clarifying his statements about "remaining neutral" in the Israel/Palestine struggle. He might gain very little by speaking at AIPAC, but he only loses by going to the SLC debate.

HRC gave a rousing speech and took down Trump big-time......Let's see if he can contain himself tonight when he reads his prepared speech off the teleprompter without being less than Presidential by his need to take exception with the HRD digs.........

Just listened to the Kasich speech to AIPAC.......he knocked out of the park and had the 17,000 audience up on their feet in approval.......

“Donald Trump attempted to put to rest any doubts about his commitment to Israel during an uncharacteristically scripted and somber address to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee conference on Monday.

Trump focused his remarks, which he delivered using a teleprompter, on the threats posed by Iran and the United Nations, while stressing the need for Israel to lead in negotiating peace talks with the Palestinians.

"We will send a clear signal that there is no daylight between America and our most reliable ally, the state of Israel," Trump said. "The Palestinians must come to the table knowing that the bond between the United States and Israel is absolutely, totally unbreakable."…………

Of course Trump could not contain himself by claiming he had studied the Arab-Israeli problem……….. probably more so than any other man in the world ………and it was no joke………

The man has problems which make him more than just “dangerous” if elected President…
