Rubio: There is No Doubt Obama Helped Stoke Recent Political Chaos

Well of course everything was Obama's fault, except when it was Bush Jr.s fault, or Clinton's fault, or Bush Sr...right back to George Washington who everyone KNOWs was ultimately at fault. :coffeepap:

Since Day 1 of his campaign one of Rubio's biggest problem was he thinks Obama can run again.. When Christie beat Rubio up at that debate, what was Rubio canned response? Something about Obama. Over and over.

Months ago 1 of his advisers should have sat Rubio down and explain to him, with pictures if necessary, that Obama can not run again in 2016, so Rubio needs to address his criticisms and concerns at the OTHER candidates who ARE running for president. Not Obama.

Emperor Obama's partisan attacks and refusal to work across the aisle is definitely a factor in the increased divide the nation is going through.

Nothing ceases to amaze me with the Obama administration. It is politics all the time.

The Obama administration had indeed played a part in the current climate, but it has expanded far beyond his fault. Even during his administration, the GOP and the populist revolt within created an exaggerated form of the chaos. Now that Obama is partly fading into memory, we have even less reminders of what national politics used to be. It used to be dignified.

Who would have known Rubio had time to be here!

Dude you live in bizzarro world! The republicans had no intention of working with Obama from day one and McConnell came right out and said so!

It was never that dignified. You're seeing politics in rose colored glasses.

You can go back as far as you want and you will find debauchery in politics.

You are spot on. I don't blame Obama for everything, and I don't even blame him for most of it. But he does share some of the blame, and it's disingenuous to pretend he doesn't. His supporters being in full denial are no better than the Trump supporters who deny that Trump's vitriol has contributed to what's going on at his rallies.

I liked politics when there was some dignity. It seems to be all but evaporated now.

I agree that there is an extent to which you could blame Obama for partisanship, but blaming him for Rubio's failed campaign is really just another symptom.

I didn't say anything about Rubio's campaign. I agree with Rubio's statement that Obama had helped create the ugly messy political climate we have today.

Racial divisiveness and demagoguery sparks backlash. Obama is responsible for much of the inchoate anger of the Trump movement, just as Trump is creating backlash-anger on the liberal side of the aisle (and will continue to do so the longer he is the GOP leader, nominee, or president). Obama led the way in divisive rhetoric over the last 6 years, and absolutely has a share of the blame coming.

Except that what Rubio really meant was that his campaign got drowned by the Trumpeters. Which was caused by Obama (because to him EVERYTHING is Obama's fault).

I've met Rubio a few times but can't read his mind.

Obama made Trump possible.

Most divisive president since Andrew Johnson.

There is no logic to Rubio's assertion regarding Obama, because Obama does not say what Rubio credits him with meaning. Rubio is just making up his attack. Obama did not say that.

According to Rubio, if you disagree with the repub agenda, you must be trying to divide the nation. That is absurd. I could equally charge that the repubs have been dividing the nation by disagreeing with Obama's proposals.

Its stupid campaign talk like this that causes people to look to another candidate to vote for, because this one is stupid.

This is the source of the divisiveness.

How you can turn that around and put it on Obama amazes me. It's laughable.

Persuasion is a science of emotions, neurotransmitters. ALL political campaigns and messaging is designed by persuasion practitioners.

So it is perfectly natural that its about emotions, feelings and not rationality.

Actually Bush and Obama did sign into action the "bailout" bill together. So maybe from day 2 ;)

Rubio is desperate so he is grasping for the anti-Obama vote.

Just curious how you see Obama characterizing the people who disagreed with his agenda.
