SCHOOLS and canteens in Germany have BANNED pork from their menus over fears of offending Muslim migrants, a top politician has revealed.

Daniel Günther, party representative, claimed that pork products were being taken off the menu in schools, nurseries and canteens across the country.

That's like banning air in Deutschland.

Germans eat massive amounts of pork... bratwurst, schweinebraten, schweins haxe, schnitzel, ground pork (they use it as we use beef), just to hit on a small selection of items.

What are they going to ban next? Pepper spray? Beer?

Political correctness gone wild.

:doh

(This is going to be a long day...)

I guess there's no limit to what the PC crowd will do....I'm guessing they'll ban beer next.

Some schools and businesses have supposedly decided not to offer pork products on the menu anymore. I'm not seeing anything to be outraged about and I'd say anyone who is clearly has it pretty good in life if their primary concern is where they can buy sausages in Germany.

And in case it wasn't painfully obvious enough, folks, azgreg's link goes to another thread based on the same link as this one; post #2 in that thread points out that Germany did not ban pork.

The claim that Germany banned pork is false.

Naturlich. All one had to do is look at the source.

Read the article... a CDU/CSU member is quoted.

Pork, according to the article is banned... it's not nationwide... but in specific institutions.

No where in that article is a CDU/CSU member quoted saying sausage has been banned.

The sub headline states:

SCHOOLS and canteens in Germany have BANNED pork from their menus over fears of offending Muslim migrants, a top politician has revealed.

While the actual article states:

An increasing number of public canteens, child daycare centres and schools have stopped serving sausages, bacon and ham over religious considerations.

Those are two completely different statements.

Keep in mind that the Express is approximately 37 rungs down the journalistic ladder from Breitbart and Salon.

Well it is good to see you all got your assigned links done early today. This was posted elsewhere, and laughed at. Hint: even your own source backs away from the "banned" claim, after the clickbait headline. And your source also has articles about UFOs, Princess Di conspiracies, and lots of other laughable stuff.

Well, that stuff is true, but the sausage stuff is twaddle. I've spent time in Germany and there is no way in hell they are banning sausage (or any other pork products) any time soon.
