Things are not looking any brighter for Kasich:

Kasich at rock-bottom in Michigan poll - POLITICO

Donald Trump is leading in Michigan, and Sen. Ted Cruz and Sen. Marco Rubio are in a tight race for second, according to a new poll by the Detroit Free Press and several local television networks.

As for Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who is hoping to make a strong showing in the Rust Belt state, which votes on March 8, he's stuck in last place.

Trump has the support of 25 percent of GOP likely primary voters in the state and 4 percent are leaning toward him, Cruz has 17 percent with 2 percent leaning toward him and Rubio has 16 percent with 2 percent leaning toward him.

Kasich, meanwhile, has the support of just 7 percent of those surveyed, with a further 1 percent leaning toward him.

Kasich has pinned his hopes on Ohio and making a strong showing in Michigan as a "charge" to his Presidential campaign. Oops. It looks like THAT ain't gonna happen.
Not only is Kasich currently losing Ohio to Trump in the latest polls. He places dead last in the latest Michigan poll.

Good. I don't think I've ever seen a hardcore conservative presidential candidate try this hard to masquerade as a moderate.

Kasich needs to win Ohio and then drop out. The Prince of Light and Hope is so obviously hoping to enable Trump and become VP in turn, but as long as he holds those votes instead of Trump, the situation can change, and he will follow incentives accordingly.

I find it pretty depressing. I've always felt fortunate to have been born an American but am resigning to the fact there is nothing I can do prevent a Hillary presidency and the further decline of our country.

He is looking for a brokered convention. I was kind of for the guy but then he lost me when he admitted it.

Hillary won't be president.

Trump is a Hillary's boy and a liberal.

They are all looking for a brokered convention, at this point.

well when you Democrats who claim to be slightly liberal see Bernie as mainstream, then I can see how you would pretend Kasich is Hardcore conservative.

A sitting Ohio Governor not polling well in that state up north? Call me shocked.

I think Rubio and Kashich are but I doubt Cruz or Trump would win in that situation.

Puh-lease. In any other civilized nation, Bernie would be considered center-left. Nothing more.

this isn't a eurosocialist nanny state nation This is the USA where we tend to be more independent and actually act like adults more than countries to expect everyone to suckle on the public teat

If we were a country of adults, we would not be considering the antics of Donald trump as a political candidate.

Puh-lease. In any other civilized nation, Bernie would be considered center-left. Nothing more.

There is no other civilized nation, unfortunately. Just look at the history of the 20th century to see that.

I agree, but he's better than goofy Bernie or should be indicted Cankles

If Kasich were leading there would be no doubt that the Republicans would win the general election. He carries himself with class and has an ability to make the compromises that used to be the way this country was run. There is no way anyone can expect this country to get any better if the status quo continues.

We live in this nation. You socialism, move.

This could be the stupidest argument i've seen today.

No, if you don't want voters to vote for policies that benefit Americans, you can move.

The maturity of your response is self evident.

No

Trump is not, and will never be, better than Bernie or Hilliary.

Not to teat suckling welfare state dependents. Not to people who want to turn America into a far left Eurosocialist nanny state or a male hating Harpyocracy (c)
