Holy Moly. 50 points. Wow.

Hillary Clinton overwhelmed Bernie Sanders in Saturday's South Carolina primary, drawing staggering support from the state's black Democrats and seizing an increasingly strong position as the presidential race barrels toward Super Tuesday's crucial contests.

Clinton's lopsided win — she led by almost 50 points with about three-fourths of the vote counted — provided an important boost for her campaign and a moment to wipe away bitter memories of her loss to Barack Obama in South Carolina eight years ago. She won the support of nearly 9 in 10 black voters, crucial Democratic backers who abandoned her for Obama in 2008....

Has anyone been able to explain Hillary's support among the Black vote? It's still a mystery.

Fear, a fear of not having the black vote unified means Republicans being able to capitalize. Not sure what else to say.

I'm not a big Hillary fan, but she's looking more and more like the chosen one. That FBI investigation could do her in though - it's making her and the party nervous. I must say, she gave a heck of a speech tonight. Gotta give her that.

Married to the first "black" president.

nothing would be better for America than having Cankles nominated and then in say mid October have her indicted for several serious felonies and having her doing the perp walk of shame on all the front page newspapers and every major news network

That would be fun....ain't gonna happen. But, it wold be sweet.

not unexpected. the nomination was hers from the beginning; never mind Sanders' blowout win in NH. the Democrats are going to try their hand at the failed Republican strategy of nominating an unappealing legacy candidate. hope that it works for them, because she might be running against a Republican nominee who shouldn't even be let into the white house as a tourist.

I think there are more reasons to keep a lying twit whose only real "talent" was hitching herself to a Charismatic huckster out of the white house than even a bombastic egomaniac like the guy with the dead groundhog masquerading as a toupee

I wish I could say it's the biggest goddamn mystery of this campaign, but it isn't. Blacks have been systematically lied to, deluded, force fed garbage, and kept in the dark.

Fox News needs to keep on pumping the race baiting and upping the coded racist language is to make sure that poor (and certain middle-class) whites keep on voting against their class interests. The flip side of the coin is that this means the world becomes increasingly racist, and Democrats are champs are turning racial conflict into votes, usually while doing almost nothing about it. They learn what black voters want to hear, they pretend to care about what black voters want (just like Republicans pretend to care about racism during the primaries), and then when they get into office they stop pretending and go back to openly not giving a ****.

And in both cases, it works really, really well.

Mama!

Well, it was good while it lasted.

Going to miss you Bernie. I do believe your heart was very much in the right place; you never wavered from what you believe in, and that's something to respect!

Eh, it's still not over yet, everyone knew that he was going to lose South Carolina. We'll really only know in two weeks what's going to happen.

He's still got the support across the states. Pockets, spread out, but in total equal a good share. He can't get the nomination but he can spoil the eventual victory a bit by continually pressuring Hillary on her message. Keep drawing her left and then calling her out when she goes the other way for the generals.

Yeah, but 50 pts is a bit ... decisive!

But fair enough, though I haven't seen any polling showing he'll win the states coming-up, either.

Clinton will probably extend the perpetual war in the Middle East to prove that she can lead the country. Trump is flat out unfit for the office. the choice this time around is as bad as i've seen it.

The local news (CBS) had a black woman braying that she wants Cankles because Hillary wants "to give the people what they need" even though Goofy Bernie is promising more handouts than even the HIldabeast

A black person said "give the people what they need" and you instantly translated that to "give me free stuff."

Interesting.

how did you arrive at that conclusion and if she wants Hildabeast on the grounds Cankles will hand stuff out, why not Goofy who promises to give even more stuff?

He's definitely been polling well in the other states. Remember, he's only 4 points lower than Hillary in the national polls --that will translate into more (eventual) wins for Sanders. The question is "Will it be enough?"

You never fail to do your duty to this forum, Turtle.

someone has to report unpleasant (to the lefties) truths

I do wonder what causes blacks to be so enamored with Hildabeast-over Bernie.

I don't think anyone or any election can "save" America at this junction.

Only the people can do that. And they're too preoccupied (as intended) to get that deeply involved.

I fear that this is true. It's just sad that this is the direction the US has chosen to go. It's like the entire country, come hell or high water, is bent on proving that Chomsky and other libertarian socialists were absolutely right about everything.

You would rather have Bernie against The Donald, BAD IDEA either way you look at it.
