Yes, I can see and I do acknowledge the similarities.
With as high a her negatives are, is her winning outright a real possibility? I'm rather doubtful on that count. Surely the electorate recognizes her for what she is and has been, namely the epitome of corruption, amorality, establishment and DC insider, political elite, and someone of that record to be elected POTUS? In this election? WIth the present mood of the electorate? Hmm. Very likely the nation is in even more trouble than any realize.
Trump seems to be one step ahead of all the pundits. They've called for his implosion for months, and it's yet to materialize. One thing he appears to be missing from his events and stumps is something substantive on policy. That would be his greatest weakness as I see it, and yet, I have a feeling that this is a weakness of his that he'll be bolstering when he feels the time is right, and it won't be with his previously wild comments. Perhaps the next iteration of Trump from primary candidate to presidential candidate will put some policy meat and substance on those bones.
Then again, perhaps not. We'll have to wait and see.
Mind you, I have no love of Trump, and have said all along that he doesn't really want to win, and that he's useful from the stand point of bringing forth the topics that the no politician, especially establishment politicians, wanted to talk about. His running has made those candidates address those topics.
If it gets down to a Trump / Hillary general, I wonder which constituents are going to pull the level the most and who'll have to hold their noses that hardest.
