Earlier this week, the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades” launched a large-scale offensive dubbed “Operation Death Triangle” inside northwestern Dara’a in order to recapture several sites that were seized by the Syrian Armed Forces during the latter’s successful assault in the “Dara’a Triangle” last year. The Free Syrian Army began their assault from the small town of Kafr Nisaj, where they had been involved in a number of heated clashes with the Syrian Arab Army’s 5th Armored Division in the past. With their sights set on the imperative village of Deir Al-‘Adas, the Free Syrian Army attempted to clear the area of government soldiers and retake the small hilltops that were situated to the east of Kafr Nisaj.
