150 allegedly 'burned alive by Turkish military' during crackdown on Kurdistan

I'm not shaking my fist at the sky--I am only posting on an internet forum. I became aware many years ago that the government in Washington does not care about my opinions. Or yours, for that matter.

But the truth is that NATO outlived its usefulness about the same time the wall came down in Berlin. Heavy irony, for sure, but today the Kremlin government seeks peace far more than the Washington government does.
You dont REALLY trust that Putin seeks peace do you? The wolf is still the wolf...

Condemn regime change and seek peace. Condemn military aggression and seek peace. Condemn belligerence and confrontation, and seek peace.

Ah. They should emulate the US, then.

The way Putin handled the shootdown of his aircraft early on shows what he will do to hold the (relative) peace. The way the Iranians handled the errant US sailors demonstrates Iranian efforts to keep the peace.

It sounds like that Grand Mal had permanent effects sir, as the US commits military aggression pretty much as it pleases. Don't need no stinkin' international laws.

We render innocent people. That is the opposite of peace. We have hospitals destroyed, we are so interested in peace. And that fever has caused our elected representatives to nullify the Fourth Amendment and Habeas Corpus. So yeah, life's a bitch and then you die.

Let him get further enmeshed in the ME and turn more of them to the Soviet Union...I mean...Russia...and see if he maintains that statesman approach.

"Peace" is a word that sociopaths use to refer to continued tyranny, as in the continued tyranny of the Assad regime, and the continued tyrannical atrocities of the Erdogan regime against the kurds. "Military aggression" is a term that sociopaths libellously use to refer to wars of liberation.

We certainly need wars of liberation now- a war to exterminate ISIL and liberate its subjects, a war to exterminate the Erdogan regime and liberate both its turkish subjects and the kurds, and a war to exterminate the Assad regime and liberate its subjects. The United States can probably even cut a deal with the Putin regime, by allowing the Putin regime to exterminate the Erdogan regime, in exchange for the Putin regime allowing the U.S. to exterminate the Assad regime.

I'm glad you at least admitted his "statesman" status.

I think his actions in Syria are partly motivated by having the terrorists die on soil OTHER THAN Russian soil.

I think Putin is an opportunist and I think he would love to see nothing so much as the reinvigoration of the Soviet Union. I think whoever our president is, they have to be prepared to play hardball with him and with all the world leaders. They cant flop ont the middle of that world stage, expose their belly, and shriek "weeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrreeeee sssoooooooooorrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!" before there is ever any dialogue. You have to be the leader of the most powerful nation on the planet.

We have the luxury of not liking what a government is doing and insisting we should distance ourselves from them. But as you pointed out...our opinions dont really matter.

Perhaps with a new administration. It will be difficult to clean up this mess and the the fifth columns, especially in Europe, won't make it any easier.
