Palestinian leader gives wife-beating tips on Gaza TV[W:98]

Re: Palestinian leader gives wife-beating tips on Gaza TV

too bad they are not adherents of the Bible:

those damned islamic savages

Please post the scriptures where Jesus told his disciples how and when to beat their wives.

Re: Palestinian leader gives wife-beating tips on Gaza TV

This reflects the culture, more than the religion. While there is a string tie, there is clear cultural aspect that is the biggest part of this.

I cannot disagree. I suppose the question is "how strong is the tie between that culture and religion?" 60-40? 50-50?

Re: Palestinian leader gives wife-beating tips on Gaza TV

Which was Paul's reasonable response to uneducated women trying to teach.

Which King Saul failed to do and ended dying in a battle with the Amelekites.

A sorceress was considered anyone who would entice people away from God, leaving them to suffer in Hell for eternity.

That was a prophetic declaration of what was to become of the Babylonians if they refused God. They ended up getting invaded (I can't remember the name of the invaders right now) by a nation who had a policy of throwing a cities children off of it's walls and letting the next city know what they had done to convince them to surrender and not suffer that fate.

So you went out to anti-Biblical site like Evil Bible and posted some ignorant garbage with no understanding of what it was you were posting. Now you have been educated and can stop spreading these lies.

Yes, context is everything, something sociopaths and astro-turfing hacks are usually completely oblivious to when it comes to theology. Good response.

Islam isn't a religion, it's an ideology, a particularly nasty one, but for some reason a lot of people think it is and treat it as if it were one, which of course leads to confusion and cognitive dissonance on their part. Islam has no developed theology, just a incoherent collection of plagiarisms and rambling screeds, mostly hate speech and psychotic streams of consciousness that mostly end up advocating murdering somebody or other and robbing them.

The 'problem' is entirely a cultural/political one for Islamic countries.

Ok, so you can't post scripture from the Gospels but can pick lines put of the old Testament.

Can you at least give a example of a Christian leader using those Biblical passages to teach a course on how and when to beat your wife ?

Yes because you see people on Western TV using the bible as an excuse to do those things ALL the time. C'mon, Bubba you know moral equivalency is a loser on this one.

Re: Palestinian leader gives wife-beating tips on Gaza TV

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there is not one Koran/hadiths for "radical Muslims" and one Koran/hadiths for "non-radical Muslims", so your "repaired" is nonsense.

there is just Koran for muslims.learn it before teaching to others

Re: Palestinian leader gives wife-beating tips on Gaza TV

Another thread for Palestinian/Muslim hater's who argue that the actions of one Palestinian dumbass automatically means that all those underneath him are that bad as well.

What a load of crap. And it's (imo) not fooling anyone reading this with a 100+IQ AND/or a decent dose of common sense.

The Palestinians (like the Israeli's) are made up of lousy people and good people...like EVERY, single large group of people who live in a geographical area not by choice but by circumstance.

And I am not ignorant enough to judge all Palestinian's by their leaders OR all Israeli's by theirs.

Why do Christians constantly attempt to explain away problems by using the Bible as a reference? If Paul was talking about uneducated women, who is to say they were actually uneducated? The verse is in fact an attack on women as a gender because people in those times didn't believe any women was intelligent enough to teach. I don't know what you're trying to prove with the Saul thing. He deserved to die because he didn't slaughter an entire group of people? Leading people away from "God" doesn't warrant death. Prophetic or not, the Bible certainly loves to rejoice in the blood shed of infidels.

The point was that there isn't one Koran for radicals and terrorists and another Koran for 'moderates'. They all learn from the same source and how they turn out as adults seems to have some variations.

So no issue then with the tips on wife beating? Is that what you mean? Nothing in Islam can ever be criticized? Is that why the constant deflection?

Re: Palestinian leader gives wife-beating tips on Gaza TV

this is astounding, all these years i've been using the wrong brand of whip.

I understand what you're saying, but couldn't that be said about any organized religion?

Considering all the schisms that have taken place over the centuries, all religion is but ideology with some different stripe or the other.

You seem unaware that Palestinians are taught from an early age to hate Jews, and that is in all media regularly. No such teachings exist in Israel about Palestinians. In fact you seem unaware of what is really going on there today with the brutal attacks against the Israeli people. And you should be judging Palestinians by their leadersship, by the way, because they are out to destroy Israel. It's part of their charter.

But we are not talking "over the centuries', we are talking about today, and the problems the civilized world is facing against organized Islamism.

Well I understand there is only "now", but we are able to study history, aren't we? Is it smart to analyze in an historical context, or do we just concentrate on the now?

Alan Watts and many others have been writing about the dangers of organized religions for many years. I think it's relevant, but for some reason you seem not to.

If you feel there is something valuable to learn from a particular historical event that we might learn from today and find it an applicable strategy then lets hear it. Perhaps this would be most helpful regarding today's events. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Vienna

There is one one 'organized religion' that's creating havoc around the world today and that is Islam.

That is debatable. From the beginning, the GWOT has been described by some as a 'crusade'. William Boykin, General in the US Army had to stop using the term, but he did use it. So did a few others, perhaps Bush himself.

Our drones don't kill Christians, they kill muslims, almost exclusively. It takes 2 to tango, you know. It was a US gunship that poured down fire on a hospital last year, likely piloted by Christian pilots. We invaded the Mideast under fraud--they did not invade us under fraud.
