If the judge in the San Bernadino case rules against Apple, certain steps will follow. Apple will have to construct a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) in which to do the work. The work itself will take anywhere from 4-6 weeks. I imagine all computer/SCADA devices in the SCIF will be "air-gapped" (not connected to the Internet). Security must be extremely high. No USB drives allowed. When the work is complete, all documents, project logs, digital devices must be thoroughly destroyed. What scares me about this fiasco is if the FBI gets into the server, the CIA will then have access through the FBI, and then China will have access to the CIA through the FBI through Apple - as a huge chunk of Apple does business in China. So... yeah.
But we've come to a conundrum here. If the FBI loses, they also lose credibility, which gets the heat off Clinton because their investigation into her e-mails having classified material accessed by hostile governments (a la China) through a private server becomes a minor footnote in history that will quickly fade into the milieu and allow Clinton to steamroll Sanders and create her long-awaited left-wing dictatorship.
This year will be a very crucial one in this chapter in American history. This will truly be a make-or-break year for our nation. I'm truly shocked.
