According to the agency, one of the occupiers rode an ATV outside the barricades established by the militia. When the FBI tried to approach the driver, he sped back, they said.The FBI said that it has secured barricades both in front of and behind where the occupiers are camping.
Negotiations continue, they said.
“It has never been the FBI’s desire to engage these armed occupiers in any way other than through dialogue, and to that end, the FBI has negotiated with patience and restraint in an effort to resolve the situation peacefully," said Greg Bretzing, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI in Oregon. "However, we reached a point where it became necessary to take action in a way that best ensured the safety of those on the refuge, the law enforcement officers who are on scene, and the people of Harney County who live and work in this area.”

My God. The Rep who's negotiating with these guys, someone from Nevada named, Michele Fiore, believes this:

A year ago, Fiore proposed a “Right to Try” bill in Nevada allowing patients diagnosed with one year or less to live to seek potential remedies that have not received final approval from the Food and Drug Administration. A version of the bill enjoyed broad support and eventually became law.

While talking about the bill on her radio show, however, Fiore went AWOL, claiming cancer is a fungus that can be cured with saltwater and baking soda. (It’s not, according to scientific consensus.)

“If you have cancer, which I believe is a fungus, and we can put a PICC line into your body and we’re flushing with, say, salt water, sodium carbonate, through that line and flushing out the fungus,” she said.

False equivalency, these morons are actively breaking the law, are armed and are acting in a seditious way, have vowed to fight to the death and are itching for a shootout.

For you to suggest that there is ANY resemblance between this and a cop pulling up and shooting a 12 year old after 5 seconds is absurd.

I'm still waiting for the "occupiers" to actually be challenged here. Last I checked this is still in "negotiations."
 
I don't want anyone to get hurt here. I do think that some of these these yayhoos want to go out as martyrs. They're acting out some sort of revolution fantasy. They should lay off the Mel Gibson movies
