Grand jury indicts 16 in connection with Oregon occupation

(Reuters) - A U.S. grand jury returned an indictment on Wednesday against 16 people in connection with the armed occupation of a wildlife refuge in Oregon, prosecutors said.

Indictments are sealed right now, and my assumption is that they will be unsealed as soon as the last 4 remaining holdouts are dealt with. IMHO, the prosecutor is going to go light on them, although they deserve to be charged with either treason or sedition.

These assholes belong in prison, and once they are out, they are going to have to deal with a little irony. Felons are not allowed to own guns.

While if it were up to me, their actions would be punishable as treason, they are not under current law.

Still, their are numerous federal and state charges that they can and should have thrown at them (conspiracy to intimidate officers of the United States, burglary, unlawful paramilitary activity, forcible possession of real property, etc.)
