Iowa Caucus Results

Do ya get the feeling Cruz is on a roll?

I'm sure he and his campaign staff are licking their chops at the possibility of taking Iowa, but they're still less than a quarter of the way through the caucus and fortunes can change rapidly.

Cruz is still maintaining an average 3 % lead. Ran over the map and it appears he is leading in many areas. Now as to the populations of those areas, i do not know.
But the 3 spread seems to be reflective.

Honestly you would think that Cruz being much more socially conservative than Trump would be a shoe in in Iowa, a state that nominated Santorum and Huckabee previously. The fact that its so close says something.

There's a bunch of people caucusing for other candidates that are nowhere near the 15% viability requirement, so everything is still up in the air on the GOP side.

 As of 9:30 pm, ET, Martin O'Malley has three votes.

Someone said "****ed up" on a live MSNBC feed  Democracy at its finest

O'Malley is up to four votes!!! MALLEYMENTUM!!!

Trump is losing (I am a almost-anyone-but-Trump guy) and Huckabee, Santorum and Christie (absolute whack jobs politically) are dead in the water...so it looks good so far to me.

Cruz is leading...that is lousy but I would rather have an awful Rep nominee then a horrific one.

As for the Clinton-Sanders show...she is leading. Which is probably good. I despise her and like several things Sanders is saying. But overall, I feel a Sanders Presidency (though well intentioned) would do more harm to America then a Clinton Presidency (which I assume will be corrupt, useless and 'more of the same'...but less destructive).

But even if these numbers hold, we won't really know anything until after New Hampshire, IMO.

Unfortunately, no matter who of the front runners wins, America is politically ****ed until at least 2020.

I think Cruz will beat Trump. You??

PSH. If O'Malley doesn't end up taking both of them with all the cross-over votes he's getting!!!

At current that seems to be the way of it - Cruz is up over Trump by 3 points, and that lead has held constant with the last 10% of precincts reporting in. Taking a look at the precincts with no reporting, they all seem to be solidly inside of Cruz territory, so we can estimate it will likely hold.

How long before The Donald begins to scream about how Iowans are just a bunch of pig-raping dirt farmers?

From what I understand, they always ask for consent from the swine.

The real clash tonight is Gilmore vs O'Malley. 7-4 as of right now. :boxer

I think it was the waking the body of Christ thing that did it.

Cruz is a lunatic. Trump is probably a psychopath ... and then there's Rubio, who is as dishonest as Hillary. She's just been at it longer.

Romney is waiting in the wings.

As I was typing, Trump's numbers dropped again. This makes me happy. Time for drinky.

So far it is not exactly going "the Donald"'s way, so far only 25% for the Donald and 29% for Cruz with about half the votes done, Rubio so far is going well with 21% of the votes.

I did not see these results on the Republican side. I assumed Trump would be way out front, but with 55% in Cruz is out front. Still close but this is not matching the polling or predictions.

So far Rubio is doing exactly what he needs. A very tight 3rd place.

I would say Trump is having a bad hair day, and that says a lot.

Context was???

Along the lines but not word for word: "I live the VA, I have grew up in the VA, and I know that the VA is ****ed up, how does Bernie actually plan on fixing the VA?".
