Donald Trump is the least favorably viewed presidential candidate since at least 1992

Re: Donald Trump is the least favorably viewed presidential candidate since at least

The other candidates are among the much hated political establishment. They probably understand. Nothing much they can do about it.

That's the one good thing about this. Bernie Sanders is a clown. Donald Trump is as well. Ted Cruz shouldn't be a factor, but he is.

I honestly didn't think Americans had it in them, to finally flip the bird at Washington. "Eff you and the horse mega-machine you rode in on."

People are fed up with being lied to. They're scared to death of the imbeciles leading the war on ISIS. They trust nothing happening in Washington is on the right track to address anything. And they've watched Obama rip this country to shreds piece by piece with nary a nudge of resistance.

It's over. The establishment has shown its ass one too many times, and they're about to pay the price. Hillary is the face of that establishment.

So while I don't support the knuckleheads at the top of the heap per se, I do support the movement as a whole to bring Washington to its collective knees. Better shape up, if it's not too late already.

I'm not dismissing the survey/chart, but I think it's fair to say that what it proves is that the more well known you are in politics, the more people dislike you.

I'd also note, coincidentally, that the chart shows that GW Bush was more unpopular in 2004 than John Kerry, and yet GWB won an expanded majority in that year's election and helped usher in an increase in Congress critters.

I hope it's too late already. Establishment refused to get the little signals, like firing Cantor and the November midterms. Now it's too late.

and the more you are trying to do the more people dislike you. Fav/Unfav polls are currently being taken far too seriously. I mean Obama is still in the mid to upper 40's FAV but the vast majority of people say that the country is on the wrong track, and after 7 years of Obama we are watching Sanders and Trump stun the establishment because people are so pissed about the failure of our leadership.

Re: Donald Trump is the least favorably viewed presidential candidate since at least

Your prediction is noted. But really what does it matter? The next couple months and we'll know who are going to be the candidates. When Trump wins both elections and the remaining haters froth about in their frustration that their crystal balls are broken, we'll all remember to laugh a little harder at you folks while your heads explode.

What happens if somehow it's Sanders v. Trump and Sanders wins? Will all the heads of the Trumpettes explode?

I think you're right. Americans stood up twice and gave Congress to the Republicans on a silver platter, and they didn't do a single thing they promised. Defunded nothing, stood up against nothing, challenged nothing. Just a bunch of empty rhetoric and whining with no action. Just bent over for Obama and let him have his way.

Welp, they asked for it, and here it is.

Not enough kids and loonies to make that happen. Trump would win, and then we'd all look at each other and say, "OH, ****!"

Re: Donald Trump is the least favorably viewed presidential candidate since at least

Are you implying that Carson and Sanders would be the best candidates?
I probably agree. We need to tone down the hatred.

Re: Donald Trump is the least favorably viewed presidential candidate since at least

That's not exactly true. Parliament debated the issue per their law. No ban was imposed or implied.

Just the fact that they would even consider such a thing, lowers my opinion of the members.

Geeees..... what a waste of time.

I don't think there are enough loonies for Trump to win, but it was a hypothetical. Quite honestly, given the demands of the Establishment of the Republocrat party, I don't see either Sanders or Trump coming away with the nomination.

I agree on Sanders, but if the Republicans don't reduce their field down to one or two challengers to Trump quickly, it might be too late after Super Tuesday. The dye will be cast.

And I don't think Hillary can carry much support going forward. Enough to beat Sanders, yes, but I think the Sanders bloc will come close to splitting in the general.

People detest her more than anyone in the race.

I don't rule out partisan shenanigans. It would be very tough for the GOP given the current field, but perhaps they could rig something. Who knows, but the party powers don't want Trump. Clinton will come out of the DNC, the DNC wants Hillary and there are already some shenanigans going on there against Sanders.

I don't know who is more detestable, Trump or Hillary. They're both on the same level with me.

UK law requires petitions of over 100,000 signatures to be debated. They debated. Nothing came of it.

I don't know if the delegates chosen in the primaries are actually bound to the state candidates or they could be pressured to change their vote prior to their vote. Politics is strange.

I know. My wife's family is scattered throughout England. There are about 20 of her relatives and friends on TeamSpeak every Thursday catching up on things. The topic came up last week.

I think what you'd also want to keep in mind is that with Obama, as an example, the fav/unfav polls relate to job performance - something the candidates before being elected aren't judged upon. On a personal favourability scale, Obama is far more personally popular as a person than he is as President or as are his policies/actions.

You say that, but the period of time that we liked Hillary the most was when she was jetting around the world for photo ops with world leaders and creating sound bites while failing spectacularly in doing the nuts and the bolts of her job.
