Teen walking in park with dad raped by group of men

What would you do in this situation?

1. As disgusting as it is, it sort of makes sense. That's what gave the teens the idea to have sex or rape (depending on who you believe) with the victim. At the very least, we know now that the father and daughter were not just innocently walking through the park as the misleading thread title claims. They were sitting in a secluded area drinking...and, perhaps having sex.

I agree, that article you posted certainly sheds some ugly light on the situation. Even if she wasn't having sex with Dad, what the hell was he doing drinking with his underage daughter in a park?

It's a pretty sick story and now it's getting even more sick. Yikes.

I still think the original question posed by AgentJ is an interesting one. What do you do - stay and fight to the death, or flee and get help? I still can't say definitively what I would do in that situation.

No. I don't think that. Was just curious. I don't know about cartel land. Never seen it. Never heard of it.

I don't know where anyone could make the leap they were doing anything "unseemly" or suspect from the early reports. I mean...father and daughter. Hardly a suspicious thing to see walking around. If this is true there are multiple parties that need to go to jail. And I'd still investigate this as rape and add the father on the charge. It is a proven fact that victims of sexual abuse/rape do tend to act more sexual after the incident because they begin to believe that is the only way to get others to value them.

No way I leave my daughter with men who mean to do her harm. Let the chips fall as they may. But, I am not leaving.

My radar kicked in when I read the time of the attack and that the age of the daughter was 18. Not many fathers walk through a playground park with their 18 year old daughter at night. It's just not something normal people do very often. So, that immediately put fish-stink on the "official" story.

Actually that was one of my first thoughts when they reported the father and daughter were drinking together in secluded area of a park, that they were having sex. It is just too weird to be drinking with your father in public, trying to hide it. Why not drink at home if that's all you're doing?

Who knows about the sex with the guys?

Yes, of course. To both statements.

If they live car-free, not unusual in NYC, and were walking home from the bus stop, a store, dinner or whatever, we'd have reason to say, "Oh man, the city is not safe." But, if they were hanging out in the park together, drinking--something which was mentioned in several articles as early as yesterday morning---then we can say, "This is not exactly normal behavior. What gives?"

None of that excuses the rape, if it wasn't consensual as claimed by the accused.

It is odd that they tried to hide their drinking. Apparently they're on video in some bodega buying booze together (beer, I think?). But having sex with your father, even one you just got to know....ugh.
 
Someone might have to verify beyond Wikipedia, but it appears that NY is a state that allows those under 21 to drink so long as the parent buys the alcohol. There are many states like this.

I totally agree with this. If you're just drinking, why not drink at home or on the front step or backyard or wherever...hiding in a secluded spot on the playground raises all sorts of flags.

Sex with the guys gets murky. Maybe she consented to one or two, but then wanted it to stop when more got involved. If so, that is still rape.

I dont want to distract from the actual point of the thread but it looks like some crazy things are happening in this case. There may not have been rape or even more out there the dad may have been having sex with her himself first?!?!?!?!

anyway that would certainly shed some light the logical thought process he was having that would ever make him leave.

Keep your gun. Also buy several at gun shows and other untraceable sources. Tell no one, boast to no one, keep them secure with your ammo. You will need them after the "confiscation" begins. It will be our surprise to those who dislike our culture.
