Man Accused In Pastor's Wife's Death Charged in 2nd Slaying

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — An 18-year-old man accused of killing an Indianapolis pastor's pregnant wife during a home invasion faces another murder charge in a second fatal robbery that a prosecutor said Tuesday happened amid an "unprecedented" eight-day violent crime spree.

Larry Jo Taylor Jr., was charged Monday with murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury in the Nov. 4 fatal shooting of Rolando Gonzalez-Hernandez.

The 27-year-old Indianapolis man's body next to his sport-utility vehicle at an apartment complex and he had died from a gunshot wound to the head, according to a probable cause affidavit.

That court document states that three cooperating witnesses told authorities Taylor said he robbed and shot someone at the apartment complex where Gonzalez-Hernandez was slain. One of the witnesses told police Taylor said he robbed and shot "a Mexican" and found only $10 in his wallet.

Looks like this guy is a serial killer. Not only did he rape and kill a pregnant woman but now he killed a guy for $10.

Funny how this story and countless others like it are never very popular in the media. If a white cop kills a black guy wielding a knife in Chicago, oh boy the media covers it nonstop for two weeks straight. Black guy targets blonde pregnant woman for rape and death... crickets.

I don't see 'non-stop' coverage, perhaps I miss the hate mongering websites some others go to? I saw the cop being formally arraigned- just like we will see the murderer you decry get arraigned.

Fact is an authority figure abusing their power resulting in a citizen's death does garner more coverage- and the 'knife wielding' black guy was NO threat to the cops as he was walking AWAY from them, not running but walking.

Fact is as body cams, dash cams and surveillance cams become more common the police will have to own what they do and not just blanket assert they feared for their lives.
