Lindsay Graham ends his campaign for the White House

I love ya too. But I'm not really a Republican. I've voted for Democrats.

Thats right! And she's voting for Bernie Sanders this time so leave her alone.

Just about every Senator, Governor, etc. wants to be President. They are lining up support, saying the right things, courting the media.

Graham has done this for 2 decades. The result? One percent support of his fellow Republicans. Put a tie on a hamster and it would get one percent. It's astounding someone can be so completely disconnected to the the very people one supposedly claims to represent.

Anyways, Graham was dumb to run at all but smart to withdraw. Better to be proactive than humiliated in an actual primary...especially in his own state.

I didn't know he was actually running for president. I thought he was very publicly trying to ask McCain out on a date.

I'll miss him. I think he was one of the smarter people in the campaign, and one of the most serious. I met him a few times at events in the last few months. I actually like him, but had no intention of voting for him in our primary. John McCain was stumping for him here, but even McCain couldn't help him.

The couple of supporters he had will probably go to Rubio.
"smarter people" yes , in a room full of dunces ..another way .. its impossible for a conservative to be "smart" .

Noone can take his extremely hawkish foreign policy serious, especially with the Graham personality.

Graham is coming out in NH!?

Surely you can't be serious...."One of the most serious?" He couldn't be all that serious if he even thought for one millisecond that he had a shot at the whitehouse. If he did...then he is probably the most clueless in the race.

Graham's campaign gets the most discussion.... by dropping out.

 maybe that's a new tactic. :)

There was that whole cellphone thing... that was pretty eventful.

I always find it's better to ask the writer which definition of a word she is using when everyone knows that the word has multiple definitions.

Hmmmm. I'm forwarding that idea to Jeb. He could gain some traction with it.

I'm certainly not the first to recognize that this thing won't get interesting until half the rest drop out also.

I am trying to imagine people interested in politics who don't consider the republican primary interesting now, with all the people still in. Seems unlikely.

Excellent way to go, Tres. I do the same...and I try to explain how I am using words when I am using them in ways others might misunderstand.

I consider this to be THE most interesting election I've ever witnessed. If it keeps going at this pace...no telling what other things will come into it.

I can only hope our country...and the world...is the better for its outcome.

Too many people still in it that split constituent groups.
Get it down to 4 or 5 with, say, Trump and Cruz for the Populist vote and, say, Rubio and Christie for the Traditional voters.
Interesting to see what would come of that.

That right there is my Christmas wish. Get it down to 4 for our primary. Stubborn folks don't seem to want to get out.

The many ways the splits could play out is what makes it interesting. It is a fascinating election.

Don't get me wrong, it's been a helluva trip so far, but too many cooks etc..
Too much clutter.

Problem is....no matter how they slice it...it all comes up fruits and nuts.

If Trump wins he'll appoint Lindsey as SecDef. That will assure Trump immediate military support for nuclear carpet bombing of 1/3 of the globe. Also, Graham will be able to help Trump understand terms such as "nuclear triad".

This is absolutely right. If you look at the Democrat field, you have to wonder if that's all they truly have in potential leaders. Makes me think that as much as Hillary may be a forgone conclusion, many may simply not want the possibility of taking up President Obama's legacy going forward. In that way, it would be similar to the Republicans in 2007/08.

Graham was the only Republican hopeful I would have to hold my nose tight to vote for, and I wondered if by some horrible stroke of fate he was the nominee, would I be able to hold my nose tight enough? I definitely have my preferences among the others, though I haven't settled on one name yet, but I am absolutely positive that every single one of them running would make a far better President than anybody the Democrats have to offer and would do far less damage to the country.

I'm glad Graham is not longer even the most remote possibility though.
