Horse****. Most western laws have a basis in the Bible.. from marriage laws to criminal laws. Over the last 100 years we have been moving away from religious law and made it far more fair. Discrimination is rampant in Christian religious law, especially if you are a non christian or female. Once it was illegal to be homosexual.. that was based on the bible.. it aint any more.

Well we're certainly not defending the calls of the council President and Chairman to legalize rape and domestic violence. In fact the only ones defending the rights of Muslims are us considering you are in fact defending the Sharia Tribunal Council that Muslim women are being forced to use and whose decisions they are being forced to abide by under the threat of violence, murder, and being ostracized by their families and communities.

Most of what you claim here is crap but I do agree that the laws that made homosexuality illegal needed to be changed, I supported those changes and we are better off for it. You, on the other hand, are fighting to allow more of this religious discrimination against women and homosexuals by allowing the establishment of these sharia courts. You can’t be a champion for equal rights while supporting the establishment of sharia law in the west.

Please provide a quote where I link the practice of sharia law to all Muslims. It’s another blatant strawman that proves your ignorance of the facts. In an earlier post (see below quote) I made it very clear what my position is. Feel free to argue for or against my actual position but stop pulling out your false strawman representation of my opinions. It shows how weak and lazy you are at debating.

banning people from doing what others can legally based on religion is not the same as letting people brake the law according to their relegation its not hard to see so yes maybe you are blinded

and yes sine according to you the women are constantly abused by the people closest to them and threatened for not listening to religious judgments trying to ban people from talking together to make those judgments wont help as it would be nearly impossible to do

instead of alienating and isolating people with collective punishments which are themselves unjust you could instead choose to go for more oversight and involvement with the people you say are at risk you might actually save some peel that way instead of making things worse for every one

No it's not that simple, the legality of their actions are irrelevant, most of these women don't understand English let alone the finer points of British law, and even of they do they are being forced to use and abide by the decisions of these tribunals under the threat of violence, murder, and being ostracized by their families and communities. The solution is take away any legitimacy they enjoy by shutting them down, arresting anyone caught still holding them, and seizing the property where they are being held.

I have already provided the report that it is being enforced under the threat of violence, murder, and being ostracized by their family and communities, these tribunals need to go and those holding them need to be in prison.

mandatory records or government officials observing at these courts to make sure nothing illegal is done their might help maybe offer legal counsel to people using the courts
